Quoting: AntiPC My theory is that this decreases the odds of someone waking people up in the comment section. Has anyone else noticed? Funny you mention that, I literally noticed the same thing and had the same thought earlier today. Chance favors the prepared mind. They say "Leave a comment on social networks" ... Okay, like anyone is going to do that. They don't want people seeing the truth, just listen to their narrative and be a good boy. Seems I have seen some "disabled" (e.g. censored) comments here on GLP that don't agree with views. What's the diff? Calling the pot black? |

Dr Phil User ID: 1692254 Canada 10/07/2015 05:19 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's because intelligent discourse is almost non-existent on the Internet. I know you think it's happening here, but really, it isn't. 'Comments' on the Internet are almost overwhelmingly ignorant, unseemly, and often batshit crazy. The ideal vision is that you would post a story, and people would intelligently, calmly, discuss and debate it. Instead all you get is the lowest common denominator, usually speaking for the darkest, craziest part of their soul, as most people do when protected by anonymity. There is a difference between what people say in the constraints of polite society, vs what they say when there are no social consequences. I'm sure once everyone on the Internet can only post comments via verified accounts connected to their real identity, comment sections will begin to make a return. |

"Dr. Phil"....I think your comment is meant to dissuade meaningful debate in this thread. You just fell for your own accusation telling us that nobody can make a sensible comment, it's just crazies commenting. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 29658816 United States 10/07/2015 06:25 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The American mainstream media is owned by only a handful of Zionists who manipulate the hearts and minds of the American people. Same goes in Europe...the Zionist Bonnier Family owns virtually 90% of the media and they have brainwashed people into accepting the destruction of their western cultures and histories to prepare for their NWO. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 69935883 United States 10/07/2015 07:16 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I usually read the headline and the first paragraph or so to get the jist of the story, then scroll down and read the comments for the real story. If there are no comments I don't bother with the story. Quoting: Copperhead Hmm good idea, hadn't thought about that. It's like they make you angry on purpose, then remove the way to vent your anger. This forces the narrative on people in a whole new way. The people's voice is completely taken away. I'd be careful relying on comments. Some websites that still do allow comments will moderate them and only allow certain beliefs through on the comment sections. So what you get is still one-sided in the comment section. |
