I was contacted by a producer (if I recall correctly) of the remake of 'The Alamo'. He had seen a photo of my 5 yr old son & wanted him to play a small part as a young David Bowie in the film. Something didn't feel right to me, so after a few conversations, I told them no. My son is 21 now & still hasn't forgiven me, but I think it's the best decision I ever made considering what I now know about the entertainment industry.

But I would suspect your average American is shocked by this. Particularly the tweenie fan base this band once had.
