ww3- i think it's safe to say...
That this would cause a draft here in the US (or maybe not?).

Any insight on this or what to expect?

To die would be an awfully big adventure.

WW3 will not happen. What will happen is a nuclear holocaust, if we or Russia fuck up that is.

I've considered the "everything will be blown to smithereens" logic. But in the event that everything is not, this worried me.

Yeah, if it stays conventional, it would be a bloodbath, and you would definitely have something to worry about. I've been looking into that a bit, too. Things have changed a whole hell of a lot since I registered in 1995 and there was not much going on. I think I'm too old now, though.

ww3 won't be like ww2 or ww1 where the militaries of this world have time to draft people in the army and 6months to train them and send them to so distant front line.

draft will never come. cities will be destroyed well before all that when a world war 3 comes.

I can see them drafting surviving men to re-man the military after the fact, assuming there's much left, and I do think that a ww3 could go on for some time after the initial bangs really start.

More then likely after everything is destroyed men will volunteer. Not much food will be left and families will be destroyed. It's instinctual.

WW3 already came and went.

It was called the Cold War and ended in 1989.

Exactly and I have a feeling there would be a lot of people who felt that way.

If this (or when this) reaches full war with us involvement.. I just don't see the government relying on the assumption that men will volunteer.

We are fast heading in that direction but it is not WW III yet.
Wait for a large scale false flag that is blamed on one of the 3 superpowers and then head to head war. Most probablly will start with a thermal nuclear war.

It maybe won't happen as soon as some people fear it would, but come on.. It's unrealistic to say that there will be never be another big war in the remaining time that humanity has left on this planet... There obviously will be another war which will count as WW3. Btw, even your nuclear holocaust would obviously be part of such a war.. obviously..

Meh, I'd do it. If they drafted means they need it and Im not going to let y country fall if I could help it regardless of if we were viewed as bad or not. Call it what you will but only I can fuck with my country, no one else.

El Presidente already handled that with his executive order 13603.

It gives the military absolute control over all civilian resources including forced labor.

It's all in place.

Which is why I'm surprised it's not an aspect really talked about in here. I mean all this talk of war.. But chances are they'll be forced to fight in the military in said war.
