Have you ever suddenly become allergic to a food/item?
I've gone my entire life eating peanuts and peanut products, but lately, if I eat them or even touch them, my face swells. It's taken a few times to put this together, because the peanut products were not obvious (made in a facility, etc). I just ate a Snickers bar, not thinking, and my mouth is numb and my lips are swollen along with one side of my face. Benadryl and an epi pen on standby.

Two of my kids are allergic to peanuts, so I guess I'm the "carrier," so mystery solved there. I'm just sort of baffled as to why it's taken 30-some years for this allergy to appear.

Has anyone else had this happen later in life?

Yes, cats and dogs, majority of animals w/hair and dander. Grew up with cats/dogs. I had 2 cats and a dog in my early twenties, around 26/27 I started getting these rashes on my sides and arms. Then it got so bad if I rubbed a dog with the back of my hand, with in 20 seconds I was see a red blotch w/bumps and it itched.

Still allergic to this day. Saddens me, I like animals a great deal. Now I have hairless pets lol. South African Cichlids, Bearded Dragon. I would like to find someone with a hairless cat to rub it and see if I'm allergic. I would totally get one of those if I could. lol

Look into the role of Intestinal Flora (gut bacteria)in the Development of Allergies. Eat foods to build good bacteria in the gut before slowly exposing yourself to what your allergic too. For example take small doses of bee pollenpeace

This.

They changed the peanut's genetic makeup. Monsanto introduced 9 untested ( and unapproved by the USDA) proteins into our food supply to deter insect consumption and yield better harvests. It's likely you're eating GMO.

I can't even stick my tongue on anything but organic ketchup anymore because of this!

NO!!!

I'm okay, it's subsided and the numbness is gone. This is par for the course. A few times I've had to take benadryl, but this time was a puffy face, numb lips and then it was over. Very strange.

Local honey is a great idea and we have some, I just forget to eat it...derp!

They say it can happen. But I blame GMO and chemical additives.

I drank a gallon of milk a day growing up, now milk makes me very sick.

Ive eaten chicken eggs all my life.
Eggs now make me sick to my stomach..... unless I buy non GMO.

I once bought a brand new laptop and after spending all night playing on it, I woke up with both of my hands swollen and numb! They were at least twice as big!! I thought for sure I was gonna have to get them cut off! lol but I think it was the plastic where my wrists would rest...
People who are intimidated by you talk bad about you with hopes that others won't find you so appealing.

Rubatosis - n. the unsettling awareness of your own heartbeat, whose tenuous muscular throbbing feels less like a metronome than a nervous ditty your heart is tapping to itself, the kind that people compulsively hum or sing while walking in complete darkness, as if to casually remind the outside world, I’m here, I’m here, I’m here.

The jealous are troublesome to others, but a torment to themselves. ~ William Penn

I understood myself only after I destroyed myself. And only in the process of fixing myself, did I know who I truly was.

Revenge is not in my plans. You'll fuck yourself on your own.
