The King James Bible does say that faith in Jesus Christ is what saves us. Faith is what saves. Deeds are what determine our reward.
Revelation 20:12

One set is THE BOOK OF LIFE.
The other set is about DEEDS and WORKS.
The Book of Life is for the people who BELIEVE in Jesus Christ.

People who ARE found in the Book of Life shall be JUDGED for their deeds and works and they will be REWARDED based on those deeds and works.
You don't need ANY man telling you what is true about God. God will teach His people if they read the King James Bible and ask God for knowledge.
