I'm really curious as to why people like to smoke weed?

I don't really understand why weed smokers like the sensation of being stoned.

I did try weed when I was younger once but it made me feel like I was dying, like a really bad panic attack and I threw up and felt paranoid for days after.

Marijuana makes you feel numb. Humans like the numb feeling. That's why we drink alcohol. The difference between pot and booze is pot goes away more quickly and there's no after effects (no hangover, thirst, pain, etc), whereas booze leaves you with a bad feeling.

I smoked pot in college really because it was available and I was too poor to afford booze. I'm glad because I never developed a habit for drinking booze.

Pot is not addicting like booze either. You just feel numb and then it's over. Kind of like that bloated feeling you get when drinking too much water. Water isn't addictive either.

I don't smoke pot now, but I don't drink either.

Hash is way more common in Europe, it gets supplied from the Arab world mostly, and it's strong as fuck. It can and has been laced with all sorts around here. But most likely, if OP did smoke, he greened out and his insecurities made him have a bitch fit.
