CNN Money reports that Ford is moving its facility, originally slated for Mexico, back to the United States, where it will employ 1,000 factory workers in struggling Youngstown, Ohio.

Trump for President: Ford changing it's plans to build a plant in Mexico and instead moving it to Ohio clearly shows what a "doer" like Trump can accomplish with only his words. There are no indications that Trump had any direct involvement but the argument that Trump's comments, combined with the fact that he actually does what he says, put pressure on Ford and strengthened the union's position giving us a positive result for Ohio's people and economy.

Before the Free Trade began, many Baby-boomers were doing quite well economically, yielding the fruits of many years of hard work and progressive increments in success. Since NAFTA was passed there has been a giant sucking sound as Ross Perot predicted and American industry and jobs have been exported from America, often the relocation of these factories paid for by the US State Department under special grants.

These large American international corporations have been able to drastically lower their labor costs while charging about the same for their product in America, thus being able to make vastly increasing profits. Cheap Chinese goods (which are now rising in price by the day) kept the American public appeased and unaware of the dire economic descent that America had been set upon by these Free Trade Agreements.

Of course he had something to do with it. He said if elected, he would slap a 25%+ tariff on the these types of imported goods, etc. Now if you were a Ford Executive, would you risk this given Trump is hugely popular, just to find out the little bit you saved in tooling up your Mexican factory is now causing you to bleed your profits because of a tariff.

I love how even when Americans in Small Town, Ohio are about to get 1k jobs due to Trump drawing nation wide attention to the issue, similar to how his spot light on illegal immigration created the Kate Law, there are still people who talk shit. Either mentally unstable or paid shills. Flip a coin.
