No one in modern times. I would bet someone from ancient japan or ancient sparta. They were born to fight and spent there whole life training both for hand to hand and weapon combat. I bet if you took a badass spartan or ninja and put him in the ufc today he would dominate.

no way in hell. fighting is at its most advanced right now in terms of mma/ufc. strength and physical conditioning is at its most advanced. access to knowledge is at its most advanced. those guys brought right out of their time period with the knowledge they had would get dominated, no question about it. they were tough as hell probably even tougher than modern fighters due to the conditions in which they lived but it takes alot more than toughness to win against elite mma fighters of today.

think of it, those guys had access to their 1 form of combatives and thats all they knew. fighters today have knowledge of every fighting system known to man and theyve been tried and tested in the octagon. theyre using sometimes 6 different fighting systems molded into 1. those ancients would be completely lost.
