OP -- if you're sincere about increasing your faith, then it's a very simple process: You choose God's way, again and again and again and again. This is how you grow your faith.

If you find that your faith has decreased, it's because you have knowingly chosen against God's way. That doesn't mean that you can't reverse the process, but it does mean that you need to get back to basics with God.

Here are some words on faith that might help you:

One of the problems with Christendom today, is that people want to grasp truth through knowledge, the intellect.

They delude themselves into thinking that the more they know, doctrine wise, the more 'christian' they are. And that this suffices to be found pleasing in God's eyes.

So they embark themselves on a quest to 'know' truth, by endless study of this and that, to prove that this or that doctrine fits perfect with 'their' theories and line of thought.

Get into endless debates and quarrels about whose interpretation is right, and whose is wrong. And cannot see that they are abstracted from being what they should be, spirit; not a thinking head automaton that gathers facts!

It is not what one knows that determines your spirituality, but what you are!

The bible never advocates or endorses the 'biblical scholar,' like many a wannabe 'know it all' Christian today pride themselves on being.

On the contrary, Jesus thanked his Father, that he kept true spiritual riches from the 'wise' and revealed it unto the simple.

True spirituality can only be grasped by being simple, humble, poor in spirit.

The intellect will always quarrel, even with God.


Also, I will not go into full detail, but will mention briefly...Another problem with christendom today, is that they have thrown God out of his sanctuary, and placed in his stead, an image of jealousy therein.

And the truth is fallen, and a new apostate wonder has risen. A counterfeit with lying eyes that speaks in the name of truth, has trampled the truth to the ground.

Preachers today of all religions worship a pseudo spirit, a doctrine of demons. And this is what people want, a distorted, watered down version of the real truth, that suits their fancy.

People just want to hear smooth things, coast through life with the least amount of friction. They do not want to face up to or work through their inner emptiness and angst. But rather it magically disappear. Thus they turn to their pseudo god.

This is the religion of a baseless dreamer. That likes to talk god, think god; sing their garbage to him, as they drift away into illusory bliss. Deluding themselves into thinking that they are favored in His eyes, that they know him; whereas in real essence, resist with all their being, what true Christianity requires and stands for.

For in the 'new religion' of our time, lets face it , sound doctrine is passe; people want lullabies. Truth has been transformed into a fairy tale.

True Christianity, as presented by Jesus; to venture flesh and blood and be born of spirit, for spirit is life; is not a slogan people want to hear, no one wants to buy into it. Cause real truth is offensive to the worldly way of life and mind. Now, twist it around somewhat, distort its actual meaning; as has been done by the self proclaimed preachers of our time, none of which God has sent, and it will get their attention.

For what people want, is both, heaven and the world. As they still cling to their idols. But it does not work that way; God is not into half truths or compromises; nor is he into lukewarm virtual being, where there is no real substance or depth. He wants the real thing or nothing at all!

I was reading through the thread and when I read the post above I suddenly flashed to those churches who use marketing experts to determine what the people in an area want and then create a "church" designed specifically with those people in mind. Sometimes, that means no Christian symbols at all - they take God out of the "church" so no one is uncomfortable while there.
