The Lukewarm Church

14 “And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write,

‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: 15 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. 17 Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— 18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. 21 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

22 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”’

Examples of faith. Hebrews chapter 11 is known as the “faith chapter” because in it great deeds of faith are described. By faith Abel offered a pleasing sacrifice to the Lord (v. 4); by faith Noah prepared the ark in a time when rain was unknown (v. 7); by faith Abraham left his home and obeyed God’s command to go he knew not where, then willingly offered up his only son (vv. 8-10, 17); by faith Moses led the children of Israel out of Egypt (vv. 23-29); by faith Rahab received the spies of Israel and saved her life (v. 31). Many more heroes of the faith are mentioned “who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies” (vv. 33-34). Clearly, the existence of faith is demonstrated by action.

If you take time and look at the Faith Leaders in the Bible and their faith , that is faith the Church should be , we live in a watered down version and our Churches area mess just as predicted we cant even say no to blatant sin

Yes, I studied whole book of Luke(my Favorite) and so many things I really never saw before just leaped , one was how Mary mother of Jesus Luke2: 50 But they did not understand the statement which He spoke to them.

When I heard that I had a wow moment , so when we study the Word it is truly amazing when you get something and like now and we just want to share so others get it , but what I have learned not all will get it and only God allows the getting part and I am much older than most here and still trying to get it


But God Blessed people like Mr Chan(in video) to share in a way easier to get and only till we get alone with The Word do we get what we are suppose to get

I have recently reunited with God after a long period of being back slid-den. My biggest struggle is things of the world, specifically the media. I always struggle with television and worldly music(among other things). I realized that I was trying to serve two masters. I decided to give things of the world up. I can honestly say it has made a huge difference in my relationship with Christ. I go to Him daily and ask Him to reveal sin in my life. It is a daily struggle as we are living in a world of filth. I am ready for His return!

The good news is anyone can have this gift. Accept Christ as Savior and find a good bible believing church. The things of this world are not worth all of eternity.

It is sad that the Post Modern Church has their faith in one thing only. That one thing is MAMMON/MONEY. Or should I be more specific to the Lord Jesus diagnosis.
The Angel of the churches and the principle of the flock main focus seems to be on, BIG Budgets, Big Buildings, Big Memberships, Big broadcast, Big staffs, and making a BIG name for themselves.
They being deceived in BELIEVING THAT GODLINESS IS GAIN (I Tim 6:5)
While TRUE RELIGION on the other hand is to VISIT ORPHANS AND WIDOWS IN THEIR AFFLICTION (Jas 1:27).

The question should be asked whether the majority of ones faith works should be in getting more stuff, or meeting the needs of those who are destitute. So, whats in your wallet?

Thanks for that Goofy. I have never heard of pastor Chan before now. Seems like someone that is consistently trying to follow through on what god is calling him to do. Listening and acting, listening and acting. That's whats important.

True faith can move mountains, who has done such of this generation none, but there shall be a few who will do so and it breaks the seal.

The Son of man and his two witnesses will perform a great mystery before the 6th seal is opened and that mystery is what begins the real end time great tribulations. For it is written the Son of man overcame the world and it is written upon him faith and truth. Such faith can effect the entire universe and that is what will fulfilled prophecy.

Be careful about promoting "pastors" like these.

They sell God's word ("New York Times best-selling author"...).

Genuine followers of Jesus give everything for free: Freely we have received; freely we give.

This guy sells what he receives, which means that those who don't have the money to buy it, won't know it.

Do you really think that's how God acts?

No.

Pastors who sell God's word are not from God.

Be very careful about who you promote, lest you be numbered with them.

Are you broken of heart and contrite in spirit, have your poured out your soul in tears asking forgiveness for your sins in name of Jesus Christ. Do you seek to release the grasp of babylon from your soul and the binding of the snare of Mammon?

Indeed! The faith in Him is shown by doing His works and keeping his commandments. Without that, your faith is dead. If you call yourself Christian and still perform iniquity and value this world over the next, Jesus will cast you out, for He never knew you! Get right with Him!
