IMHO, there’s a contradiction here. We exist in some form after death, a form capable of communicating with (some) living persons AND we move on to another physical life, adopting another personality, another set of memories. Most of us are not aware of any details of our past lives so how can we communicate about that life with the characters that coincided with that life.
The easy answer requires time; we spend some time after death as the person we were, then reincarnate later. Any communication about that life occurs prior to the reincarnation. But all that presupposes that the realm of the dead is subject to time, and I don’t know of any evidence for that. In fact, any evidence seems to lean towrd the opposite, that the other realm is timeless.
I would resolve this contradiction by postulating the existence of an oversoul, a sort of central spiritual core of many lives like a beautiful gemstone with many polished facets. It’s not an original idea; many have gone there before me. It also leads to ideas about oversoul groups and even higher levels. Add spiraling fractal octave structures and you get both differentiation and infinite unity. In other words, the metaphysical model works.
Of course, there’s no “proof” for any of this but there’s no “proof” for any other model of reality either. If you think you have proof of the generally accepted “scientific, objective” model, all the various anomalies discussed on this and other websites, and in vast libraries and other info sources (less the hoaxes and mis/dis-info) negate your model, Horatio. |

Whats got me wondering is when a loved one dies, you expect to see that person on the other side when you die. But what if when you get to the other side, your loved one has already been reincarnated. Do you miss seeing your loved one?? I am thinking that the OP's suggestion of an oversoul could work. Perhaps the oversoul stays on the other side and the soul that comes here to live and gain experience is just a part of that soul. Hence the oversoul always stays on the other side and advances depending on how the earth soul did while it was here. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 136748To break up old thought-patterns, I´d put that as "the oversoul is what some of us call God". Me, I really dont put a name on it, but the model is one I use, too. Shirley McLaine came to a similar conclusion at the end of "Out on a limb". So we would be subdivisions of the mighty "IT"!! |

Holding to that truth one can stop fighting with oneself. |
