Quoting: Just Some Dude Voters didn't reject legalizing marijuana in Ohio, they rejecting allowing a select group of investors operate 10 grow ops in Ohio as the ONLY SOURCE of procurement! If legalized, this plan would only allow the 10 farms to grow (owned by well-known political insiders mind you that have been entrenched into the corporate elite of Ohio for years if not decades) marijuana and "allow" an individual to grow at home only 4 plants, or possess 1/2 pound of private NON-SELLABLE/TRANSFERABLE product. Get caught with an unsealed "non-approved" weed and your ass would still be paying through the nose in fines and facing more serious charges if over the weight limit. It was a bad bill and we rejected based on constitutional principles. You can't legalize something and allow only a certain group of individuals the "right" to do such without allowing others to do the same thing. That is NOT what America was founded upon, it was the very opposite. If you had a simple YES/NO vote on all-out legalization of weed in Ohio you would have seen a landslide victory on the side of marijuana. That's a fact. |

"The study found reduced grey matter volume in nearly all brain regions that are rich in the “receptors” that can trap and respond to cannabis-based chemicals. These regions include a long list of structures, almost all of which are part of a network that controls motivation, emotion, and emotional learning." [link to www.psychologytoday.com (secure)] "Cannabis use has been shown to impair cognitive functions on a number of levels—from basic motor coordination to more complex executive function tasks, such as the ability to plan, organize, solve problems, make decisions, remember, and control emotions and behavior." [link to www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] "...the structural connectivity or ‘wiring’ of the brain starts degrading with prolonged marijuana use.” [link to www.brainhealth.utdallas.edu] Damn those truth bombs. I will give you this. Adolescent use and adult use are determining factors as to the degradation. They call it impairment for a reason. Last Edited by Freth on 11/04/2015 10:36 AM |

I will give you this. Adolescent use and adult use are determining factors as to the degradation. They call it impairment for a reason. neural connections increase. grey matter reduction only shows in developing adolescence and in heavy use by adults though neural connectivity increases. as to the second article only noobs experience loss of motor control and the inability to perform complex task. I successfully write computer programs while high. There are many long term users that are high functioning successful individuals. |

They gave allot of old people brainwashed with old views. Soon enough they will all be dead and the next generation will legalize the weed. Ohio should put their money where there mouth is and ban alcohol. It's far more intoxicating and more harmful than marijuana. |

If you think weed is going to be the savior of your generation, you have extremely low expectations. You better get to work. Your generation voted in massive debt, which has enslaved future generations. When we're gone, you'll have no one to pay your debt for you, no one to mooch off of and no one to get things done. It'll be on your shoulders. Time to grow up, children. |

Brain dead shilks make me sick THIS Exactly! The stoners taking this only on face value have no idea that the Taft family (president Taft, Bob Taft-former Ohio governor) were in on this deal...people who had no problem crafting legislation to jail marijuana growers and sellers for decades who all the sudden found a "change of heart" (aka...pot of gold) when they wanted to control their opposition by becoming the cartel themselves. Makes one wonder how much prosecutor Joe Deters was greased with their filthy blood money for him to endorse it. |
