The thing is, if this was scheduled, it would be on a launch schedule and the local government and news organizations would have known about it - not run around for hours trying to figure out where it came from. Not to mention states saw it that I do not recall other states ever seeing any of the other hundreds of missile launch tests off the California coast - I could be wrong but never heard of it. As far away as Utah! There is something stinky about this whole thing.

No, because warheads ( mostly 8 of them and many fake) is activated shortly before it hits target... It can explode if you shoot down missile, but this will be not nuclear explosion

You make some good points. A launch schedule is great for things that you don't mind being traceable.

Assuming this is even a test – if it is secret/hidden technology, they would want to obscure the launch location AND time as much as possible. Maybe there really were multiple launches to make things confusing and harder to trace.

So far other than a neighbor feeling their house shake that's all so far. It's after midnight here so you can't go calling people and asking them if their house shook.

Totally and completely serious. The official story is it was a scheduled launch - where is the schedule? It isn't on any schedule I've found so far. Thats my point - official story is bullshit.

YOU think - thats my point! I am on email distribution for some launches in the area so I know they are publicly available - THIS launch is not on any schedule I've found so far. Official statement claims it was scheduled. I call bullshit.

The best alternate theory for what this was other than a Trident test seems to be that this was a warning shot from the Chinese following the South China Sea incident. Maybe they sent one of their new DF-ZF HGVs for a spin over California.

This was a U.S. military rocket/missile launch and if you don't understand why it was fired so LOUD wake up.

We are not in a World War...yet. But Russia is blowing away our ISIS troops, John McCain is almost crying because he put these ISIS troops together, and China wants to kick our ass because we keep printing funny money and the Chinese are very good at the game of Monopoly and they know, as you should know, how to hide a $500 bill under the table or steal from the bank.

Yes, we are almost in a big, hot war...and this is called saber rattling. Maybe, just maybe, we shot off a missile from a sub or a surface ship or who knows from where; but we just launched something to show everyone what we got.

If you think Europe is fine, no problem, everything is a o.k. go back to sleep. We are very close to a shooting war with Russia. And this rocket was just a saber rattle, just showing that we can and will fire. That rocket/missile was not going to hit anyone. It was designed to show strength. Do we have strength?
