Prayers said for all.

I find out today if I will be laid off, fired, or my hours cut so much I'd be better off fired so at least I could get unemployment. Obviously this isn't helping my insomnia, but I'm off for at least the next three days. I plan on doing yard work and being as physically active as possible for the next couple of days. I think that is part of the sleep problem. I haven't been physically active enough outside of work.

Re: Daily Prayer Thread !!!Plus The Word
Thank you for the prayers, my Friends.

I just put Roy to bed. Usually he is up until 1am or later. He says he has no pain. He is seeing and hearing people that I can't see. He abruptly sat up from the sofa earlier this evening, claiming he saw more people. He said he was with them earlier. He fell, and pulled down a extremely large to the ceiling palm like tree we have sitting by the picture window. He didn't get hurt and I did a quick restore and cleanup.

He said he was scared earlier this evening, so I just dropped everything and sat down at his side and held his hand. He did take his seizure medicine today, but no pain pills or the other meds. He did eat late this morning, 2 eggs over easy and a slice of toast with butter and jelly. That is the most he has eaten in a couple of days.

I didn't sleep last night, but did get in a 1 hour nap this afternoon. I will take the dog out about 10:30pm, and then try to get some sleep. Yeah, I am totally burned out.

When my oldest daughter Mary K left to go home late this afternoon, she was bawling her eyes out.My middle daughter Elizabeth is like numb, and my youngest, Alexandra,is having a very hard time. I am just trying to focus on Roy's needs, but have been crying a lot. I am trying to be strong for my daughters, but as much as I am trying, I realize I am not Superman.

Good morning everyone!

Prayers said for all....Tiger, Roy's almost ready to go. My Dad had the same experience. He was lucid enough to say that he guessed that was what happened when you were dying. People who'd passed before you came to visit.

Storm, may your path be clear and your heart untroubled. We're in a similar boat. I think most people are, really.

Though we're self employed here, (other than helping the dairy out) we're having difficulty determining a direction to take in the physical. Not sure which way to go, and trying to get quiet enough to hear Yah's instructions on that.

The coronacation is having an upsetting effect on my husband and daughter. She fears all of her friends will be dead from this, and he's vacillating between being angry about it and worried about finances. I'm not as affected, but that's probably because I'm nearly a complete introvert. Not saying it's nothing to me, as it surely is, but it's just not as upsetting to me.

Storm, God will provide all you need. We are all here praying for you. We pray you feel His peace as you face any challenges today and in the future. Trust is Him with all your heart.

Rough night. I put Roy to bed at 9pm, but he didn't go to sleep, just tossing and turning and mumbling. As I was getting ready for bed, he said "don't leave me here by myself". I went to bed at 11pm. Roy was talking total nonsense, and was occasionally yelling. I tried my best to calm him down, but couldn't.

The last time I looked at the clock, it was 1:38am. I guess I finally passed out shortly after.Roy was still agitated when I passed out. I woke up with a start at 5am. Roy was playing with a lighter on the bed. I told him to stop, that he shouldn't be doing that. He said it was OK to do that with that lighter. He lit it a couple of more times, then finally stopped.

I couldn't go back to sleep. When Roy got up at 7am, there was a mess in the bed. I washed everything. I will have to get a new mattress in the future.

Roy is totally incoherent today. He has taken his medicine, but has not eaten yet.I put up all my guns, but can't find his.I have looked everywhere. I need to find his and put it up too.

Financially, we are not rich, but so far are keeping up with the medical bills. Our only income is social security and his small pension of $171 a month. My needs are minimal, and I live simply, so we are OK. Roy has no life insurance. I will have to sell his truck in the future, and that should cover the funeral expenses and hopefully any leftover medical expenses.

Dealing with the terminal cancer itself was bad enough, but the loss of mental function is so much worse.

I own 4 lots in my former churches cemetery.I have to pay to open the grave, $1,800 if a weekday, $1,900 for a Saturday. I have to buy a concrete vault to hold the casket, as required by every cemetery in the area, $2,000 and up. The funeral home handling of the remains, with a simple pine box for burial, about $3,000. Around $7,000 for everything. If I didn't own the lot, it would be a lot more.

Re: Daily Prayer Thread !!!Plus The Word
Interesting afternoon.
Roy had another seizure right after 12 noon, even though he is taking the meds. It was not a severe one, more on the mild side, compared to previous ones. The scary part, was just a half hour ago, when Roy got up and went out the front door with all of us chasing behind him. This is distressing and could be extremely dangerous.

This all is extremely rough. I wish I could express in words how much I appreciate all of your prayers, love, and concern !!!

Hugs for all of you !!!grouphug

On the humorous side, earlier today, Roy went into the bathroom to comb his hair. He spends more time in front of a mirror than most women,IMO. Well, instead of grabbing the hair spray, he grabbed the ATHLETES FOOT SPRAY.I cleaned his hair with a washrag as my daughters and I were laughing so hard, and holding our noses at the same time, as that foot spray smells awful, LOL
