He had 3 grand mal seizures this morning.I called the doctor, asking if he could up the seizure meds. He won't unless I take Roy to his office for a blood test. There is no way Roy is going anywhere. The doctor told me, since Roy can't go to the office, maybe it's time for hospice. I nixed that, too. Hospice will not provide any more care than what Roy is receiving now, and Roy wants no one over here anyway.The 1 hour a day hospice would be here will do no more than what we all are doing. I don't think Roy has very long. I would not be surprised if he dies today. I am sure the cancer in his liver, as Roy is yellow and his belly is very distended. We are all crying here, my 3 daughters, Mary K, Elizabeth, and Alexandra, and me. I nixed the idea of any of the grandkids coming over, as I would rather them remember Roy as he was. Roy is where he wants to be, and surrounded by love. I'll keep praying for all of you. I'm amazed at your strength. You are following his wishes, and sometimes that can be excruciatingly difficult and painful. I agree. Roy is where he wants to be and surrounded by love. Keeping you all in my prayers. Roy has not slept in several days, except for a few 10 minute naps, and maybe 2-3 hours at night. He became very belligerent last night, ripping up stuff and even slapping at me, as we tried to get him to go to bed. I was so frazzled, I was almost ready to give up and call 911. Alexandra went to CVS and bought some sleeping pills. She gave him one when she got home, and it took a while, but he got drowsy and we got him to bed.We all got some sleep last night, not a full nights sleep, but 6 hours worth was absolutely great. Roy got up before me. No clothes on, and he opened up all the blinds and curtains. He had raided the candy, and I found wrappers around the house. He was sitting on the floor by the sofa. I got him dressed, and tried to get him on the sofa. He fell, and knocked over the palm tree again.Alexandra came running and we got him on the sofa.The palm tree is a buffer to protect him from falling and hitting the picture window.I would much rather he knock over the palm tree, and not hit the picture window. He was OK for a while this morning. He drank some coffee and I gave him a seizure pill.Right after Mary K came over at 9am, Roy had another grand mal seizure, lasting a long time.He is stable right now. Thank you for the prayers !!! |

Today Hubby not feeling well prayers are appreciated Been trying to work from home...I can hardly focus.. Daughter’s anxiety so bad today she overthinks every thing....
