He went in by ambulance at 2:15am this morning. He had a grand mal seizure at 4pm yesterday afternoon, and started to be combative, punching the oldest daughter Mary K, and slapped me on my arm.He threw everything within reach around, even several glass items, which, by the Grace of God, didn't break. He settled down a bit, but was very still verbally abusive.This seizure removed what mental he had left. We tried to get him to go to bed about 11pm, and he literally went berserk.He was throwing stuff around again, and causing mayhem.He was getting into everything, and there was no stopping him.We just let him do whatever, hoping he would calm down, which he did for a while after he trashed everything. At 2am, we again tried to get him to go to bed, and that is when Roy went berserk again. My youngest daughter,Alexandra, yelled out "Dad" to try to get him to stop, and he went over to her and slapped her.Then he hit me on the side of my face. As you know, I just had the oral surgery yesterday, so I now have additional swelling from the blow to the side of my face. Alexandra called the police, who called the ambulance when they got here. The doctor at Saint Margaret's called me at 3:15am this morning, and said they were going to run tests to see if the medical is a reason for all this. If not, they will put him in the psych ward. We all need prayers badly. Alexandra is just devastated, and crying. Mary K is crying,and Elizabeth is just in shock over all this. I need sleep badly, and am hurting from the surgery and the blow to the face.My arm is a bit bruised also. Mentally, it is like I am in a fog, between the surgery and Roy's mayhem. One very interesting thing. For about 30 seconds before Roy went into the seizure yesterday afternoon, he got a look of absolute terror on his face, and started yelling "NO,NO!!!". IMO, and Mary K's opinion, He either saw the devil or had a vision of hell. |
