You know Tiger, she sounds balanced in her job, happy, loved and from that this should be an easy decission. Of course we always strive to want more, more, more, but that mindset often leads to less. Less fun, less comfort, less peace.

Of course, 3 dollar an hour is quite an increase, but what does the stress cost? The insecurity about it, the leaving a place where she is happy and valued. At that new job she has to earn her spot again on a worse schedule, with new colleagues and longer driving time. Of course, when it does not work out she could come back to her old job, but then what has she gained. Nothing, she only lost time and maybe even confidence with her crew, because she left before, despite her boss telling her that she can always come back.

You did the one right thing and that is to tell her that she has all the balance where she is now, happy, making enough to make ends meet and more. That alone is worth way more than those 3 dollars an hour. When someone is in a good place and happy and balanced, than less money is more life.

Just my two cents. I wish her good luck, but if it were for me, definetely stay put. And seeing that they want her to stay that bad, maybe negotiate about medical insurance or at least a small raise in pay so she can pay it out of that increase.

Dear Heavenly Father ,we thank You for this group of precious prayer warriors , each of us are facing challenges and we need You Lord, guide out feet this week, Bless Brief and Simple this week , let Tate feel peace and love , bring financial blessing this very week where needed , healing of body soul and Spirit on each of us , help others see we are Yours no matter what we face and let the enemy have no power in our lives and our families and friends , be with this election and Your will be done as we do not not know the future but You do, protect both Candidates and the threats given for Monday never happen , what we know not teach us , what we have not give us for Your Kingdom's sake and let numbers to great to count come to hear Your word this week and knock at Your door , we ask not another generation has to face the suffering this planet gives ,as we will be the generation to see Jesus Come on The Clouds, in Jesus name amen.

They already had given her a raise of $2 an hour, but it is still $3 less than that potential job. But, they also threw in paid vacation and sick days, which she has not had before at her current job.They really want to keep her. I strongly feel that she should stay where she is at. Money is not everything, and it doesn't buy happiness.

And paid time off is usefull when you need a day here or there to take care of other life issues.

2 Updates.

My daughter is probably going to stay in her current job. She has to decide by tomorrow. I talked to her briefly earlier, and she really loves her current job, even though she could make more elsewhere. I strongly believe where she is right now, is really the best for her. They treat her like family. How many people like their job so much, that they look forward to going to work every day, like she does? Hardly anyone.

My mother is probably going into an assisted living apartment.Her CNA is about ready to quit.She has been going over there for about 1/2 the rate for 3 days a week for a few years.To say my mother has been uncooperative, is not even scraping the surface.My brother and I checked out a place today, and we will go back to get all the fine details. Insurance will cover all but $700 a month. It is a 1 bedroom apartment with a private bath and a kitchenette. She would have a weekly housekeeper and laundry. She would also get 3 meals a day and a snack. She would get assistance with personal needs, and medication reminders, and assistance, if needed.The projected timeline to move her, would be right after Christmas. I hope we can make it that long.

I think your daughter made the right decission there Tiger. And who knows what the time brings. It gives her the chance to just think about everything without the urge to find something else on such short notice. She really did the right thing, with your help. You can tap yourself on the shoulder for that..

As for your mother, I can relate to that. My mom never wanted to leave the house and move into an assisted living, even though she has so much medical stuff going on in her life. With my sister I took care of her for about 10 years on a daily basis till she passed in May.

People mostly want to stay with their own, in their own "independent" trusted enviroment, even when that gets lonely and quiet when time progresses and they get older. I often wonder how we would be in that situation as our parents and our close ones would suggest such a thing. I can only come to the conclusion that it probably will be the same....

Keeping you all in my thoughts.

I just wanted to say, we all need to be praying for The USA. we need to pray for God's will to be done, for people that need protection to be protected, for safety for all of us, for struggling voters, for the candidates (yes all candidates, even though Hillary is despised doesn't mean we cannot pray for her to turn to God, it's never too late to be born again, but we should also pray she doesn't win ) and pray for guidance!

Please pray that I get this job, it's been two weeks since I've taken my drug test and background check I haven't heard anything and I really need this job I'm tired of this minimum wage job that I have.
