Luke 12:56Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time? When Jesus got mad , called names or even gave stern warning, as followers we should know those more than what that siren means and all the weather warnings .We have to study and pass a test for most everything in lives from school to driving and even to get a job. Since the 60s, America went peace mode due to Vietnam. The war we battle has never been in peace time and the events of our culture shows we that we thought it did. Do we know how to discern the signs of the times or are we hypocrites. If not it is time to study and know those more than anything warning of this world . Can you pass the test on the teachings of Jesus on discernment? Luke 12 54Then He also said to the multitudes, “Whenever you see a cloud rising out of the west, immediately you say, ‘A shower is coming’; and so it is. 55And when you see the south wind blow, you say, ‘There will be hot weather’; and there is. 56Hypocrites! You can discern the face of the sky and of the earth, but how is it you do not discern this time? Discern the time ,the Bible if brimming with what to know and watch for... Wow GFG i love that post. Late last night at 3 am i woke up to the sound of God pricking my heart to read Jeremiah 5:4...Therefore I said, Surely these are poor; they are foolish: for they know not the way of the Lord, nor the judgment of their God. wow. So often as of late ive read much scripture that pertains to events unfolding around us in the world today. I strongly urge you guys to read Jeremiah chapter 5 in its entirety. Just something about the Syria incident really hits home when i read that in the middle of the night. It is also one of the few times in the Bible that the Lord refers to the House of Israel as the House of Jacob signifying Jacob's continuous disobedience in wanting to do things his way and not God's. ( Curious that stuck out to me as the other day the Lord guided me to Genesis and Jacob's wrestling with God.) Hello lovelies. Thank you for the special hello NYC. We are generations of being desensitized by things like television , movies and games. When I watched the video of the attack on the Church in Egypt yesterday it reminded me how we have our routines like was seen in that video and in a flash everything changed. We take the Lord's Table like a routine. If you do not weep as your drink that offering , stop and ask if you have become desensitized. Mr Begg did a great message today on the Cross and Jesus crying out. That action done for us should not be taken lightly . We are a long ways out from that day , take time today to imagine what Jesus felt , heard and said. When I saw that video my first thoughts where ,that is how fast life can change and Jesus said , Matthew 24:27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Lightning travels at approximately 224,000 miles per hour or approximately 3,700 miles per second ...I am seeing so many people saying this or that has to happen before His return that is not what Jesus says. No one knows not even Jesus so for any of us to think we do is dangerous. After the Cross , we as followers are the new Israel. Live today as if it is today. |
