Numbers 15
When I read the first part of this chapter , I thought about the gift of being a good Chef and how God created us to love sweet smells as He does.
We see that disobedience always has a penalty. God allows for us to mess up, but has zero tolerance for things we do knowing it was wrong, anything presumptuously is the word used.

We should be grateful every Sabbath that Jesus keeps us from death, as the man picking up sticks. That even seems very harsh and unfair in our way of thinking , God was setting a standard. God goes on to say He knows our hearts are always inclined to leave His camp and go the way of the world. The tassel command shows us His love and understanding of our weakness. Those tassels must have been very pretty with the blue thread on the ends. I love the details when God had men to make things and it was never an image of himself , He knew what we would do with such.

We do need reminders as in verse 40 , and that you may remember and do all My commandments, and be holy for your God. 41 I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the Lord your God.”

The tassel thing did not help much but we can see His patience in them . God has known from the beginning we needed Jesus Christ our Savior...If we are outside His camp today , Jesus paid a heavy price for us to come in...We are going to mess up until we die but the Holy Spirit is our tassel. We do not have to kill a lamb, make a tassel or die for picking up sticks on the Sabbath but we are not excused for sinning presumptuously

...Hebrews 10:26 For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins.
27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

This passage shows us God did not change from Numbers 15 to Hebrews , He gave us Jesus on the Cross but that never meant we can sin presumptuously. In fact the passage here gives a greater warning for such... Jesus is the Son of God, we only have to look at our world and see how clueless we are what that means and the price that was paid … Pray for our churches that have went outside The Camp and taking the sheep with them...

So true, we're in a constant battle to do the will of God. These days are full of temptations but in Jesus we will have the victory. The key is to literally abide in Him every minute.

Praying and thankful to God for the great news that Elizabeth is doing well!

Dear Heavenly Father we need You this day , we ask that You be with our GLP and their families in the fires out west , we especially lift up GeoStorm in Santa Rosa , we know You command the wind and waves we call on that to help the firefighters put out the fires , keep our first responders safe and be with all the animals in flight in Jesus name we pray amen...

Elizabeth is doing pretty good. She had some back pain last night after a quick trip to the grocery store. She didn't do any lifting, just walked around the store. She felt fine this morning.
My new grandson is a real energy machine ! We were all laughing while watching the ultrasound, all of us but Elizabeth, who's insides probably felt like a washing machine, LOL !!!

Numbers 16 , wow...

If Numbers 16 was a movie I could not watch it. Korah and many others forgot Who is in charge and it was not Moses. They forgot Who picks who, for what He wants. They forgot what standing against The Lord looked like , as Pharaoh did.
We have a pit that opened , fire and a plague. It only took one day for the people to complain and blame Moses for the pit and fire , it seems the “congregation,” as they are called, decided they knew best.

We are now years of God trying to show the congregation , Who He was with things man can not copy as He did with Pharaoh.
We only have to read this one chapter to understand why we do not have direct access to God like Moses did. Moses in this chapter was called Holy. You could see where religions could take this and create a modern day Moses. They had Moses we have Jesus , God is the God of an all consuming fire , Hebrews 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire.

It is humbling to read this and be thankful for what was done at the Cross. We all have access to read the Word and fall on our face in times of trouble. We all have access though Jesus Christ and our helper the Holy Spirit. The most important message in this chapter is , it is never about man. To see the Lord is to see what the Lord does through a man and it looks nothing like what the world can copy...Go back read Exodus and see all Pharaoh went through or Job 38.

Psalm 5: 5 The boastful shall not stand in Your sight;You hate all workers of iniquity.

God told them to not touch anything of those consumed in chapter 16, He hated sin then and He hates it now. We love and serve a God that time after time shows mercy but as in that story , the of Noah and of Pharaoh , His patience does run out.

Know what God hates , know what He loves , know God...We have access and the end of the story, Korah evidently did not. To Love God is to Love His ways not the worlds and not to be the Korahs and decide we know better ... To look and study hard the life of Moses or any God chose is to know and understand , Who we say we love...Thank You Lord for Jesus our Savior...Study and know the life of Jesus, He is the only way to The Father...

How eerie. I read your post this morning after I was rereading The Psalms this morning in church. While I was reading the psalm about God being in all things nature -wind, waves, lightening, the shaking of mountains - a storm hit and the thunder and pounding rain shook the building and echoed down the halls. I was thinking of you and your threads when that happened. God bless.

Numbers 17
I will never look at blossom or almond the same again. God does something beautiful after the rebellion in chapter 16. That must have been a awesome thing to see.
Verse 8 Now it came to pass on the next day that Moses went into the tabernacle of witness, and behold, the rod of Aaron, of the house of Levi, had sprouted and put forth buds, had produced blossoms and yielded ripe almonds.
God sets up a system because He no longer wants to hear the complaints.
Verse 10 And the Lord said to Moses, “Bring Aaron’s rod back before the Testimony, to be kept as a sign against the rebels, that you may put their complaints away from Me, lest they die.”
God has had it , yet shows mercy through a rod of blossoms how great He is...

We are going to WALK THIS OUT. In Motion with God; standing under Jesus giving us AUTHORITY and ORDER to live in the spirit!


Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

The Gospel Message


This is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

John 6:40

In His perfect life, sacrificial death, and triumphant resurrection, YAHshua proved that He was sent from God. And here John records for us YAHshua own description of the will of YHVH/God, which sent Him. This is the will of Him that sent Me, YAHshua says, that everyone who has eyes to see Me for Who I Am, and believes on Me, will have everlasting life.

How do you see YAHshua? Do you see Him as a good teacher? As a prophet even? Or do you see Him (as He claims in this very same verse) to be the One Who has the power to raise the dead when the world comes to an end?

To truly see the Son, YAHshua clearly implies, is to believe on Him. It is one thing to give mental assent to a set of Sunday school lessons, to say “Yes” to the question of YAHshua deity. But it is another thing altogether to trust Him with your life, your ambitions, your purpose and meaning in life.

Do you see Christ as the Lord of your life? To those who see YAHshua as the Son of God, and plant their faith firmly in Him, YAHshua promises an everlasting life and resurrection at the last day.

In other words, your faith will not be disappointed; it will be replaced with a greater reality than you could ever have imagined.
