Yes of late I want to hide in the cave of Elijah. My husbands symptoms are getting worse and the struggle is hard.

Love to you this life is a roller coaster and just through the day is all we can do.

2 Kings 1 , we see the Kings just keep getting worse but God told King Solomon what would happen and it is.
Many Kings have come and gone since King Solomon chose to ignore God and the aftermath has been brutal.
2And Ahaziah fell down through a lattice in his upper chamber that was in Samaria, and was sick: and he sent messengers, and said unto them, Go, enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron whether I shall recover of this disease.
3But the angel of the Lord said to Elijah the Tishbite, Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria, and say unto them, Is it not because there is not a God in Israel, that ye go to enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron?
4 Now therefore thus saith the Lord , Thou shalt not come down from that bed on which thou art gone up, but shalt surely die. And Elijah departed.
This story is a time when everything goes and seeking answers from little gods is popular.

Today I read about a church here in America , that has over 10,000 members and very popular.
This church teaches all faiths go to Heaven as long as you include God , Jesus is not the only way what is being taught . I cried and wanted to go the cave of Elijah.
When I say we are living the Books of Kings , I was not making that up.
People want the fast lane , look how we drive, look at how we order food...
God will use Elijah to show the people there is only one true God and they can not imitate Him.

10And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.
This happened two times and by the third time the captain did as Ahaziah commanded , but fell on his knees and ask for mercy and God gave it.

God is the only one that controls what He created and fire is just one of those things.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

We have a whole Book showing us , God always had one that could come to Him, Jesus is the only One now. To teach anything other than what the Word of God shows and says ends up in the fire.
2 Peter 3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
History shows over and over it only takes one bad leader to cause the people to follow Baal. All fires should remind us of this story and the outcome of those that follow the orders of anyone other than God.

We are in perilous times of false teachers that is why Jesus said in Luke 14:27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

We where never meant to just sit and listen to the babel of another person. We where never meant to make one person rich by listening to that babel. We are called to be disciples and follow the only Teacher there is...Popular is not anything to be part of and easy to follow God , is not what Jesus showed or said. He is the only way to the Father. Get alone with God and the Bible...John 10

You guys, I'm going to ask for some prayers on my behalf. I had surgery for a small intestinal obstruction from Intussusception - rare condition for an adult - 2.5 weeks ago.

Here's a link to the thread with my history with this Intussusception issue.

I'm now starting to have the horribly painful and nausea symptoms of another obstruction. I went to the surgeon's office this morning and they're trying to get me an emergency appt. for a CT scan so I don't have to go into the ER...this I so don't want to do. I'm waiting at home right now to see if they can.

Any prayers youse guyses can say for me, for comfort and the best outcome with this right now, I will be so grateful.

Remember there were disciples that sold everything and left family to follow Jesus.
Remember how much Jesus suffered at the end.
Remember God's sorrow at Noah's time.

Pain, suffereing and loss are going to happen. They are a part of life.

Expect them and prepare. No one is immune to them, even the rich and demonic.

Get your mind to the point where those things don't break you down. Keep God and Jesus...the promises & their love...#1 in life.

Dear Heavenly Father , we lift this up to You, we ask that CG have no fear that she call on Luke 12:7But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows , let her find peace you created that body and it is Yours , help her give it back and a peace come she truly knows this , let the pain be something simple to fix and no surgery in Jesus name amen

Well, I certainly agree. Your prayer brought calm tears to my eyes. I let out a deep breath.

The pain has gotten a little better. I'm going for the CT Scan in an hour....still with the nausea, and that's after taking Zofran (anti-nausea pill).

Just, no more surgery. Hopefully it was caught in time to avoid that. That's all I'm asking, please....no surgery.

Thank you so much, Goofy....and I'm thinking it's not so much I'm scared as it is I feel defeated. I had hoped the initial surgery would've corrected the problem, but knew there was a possibility that it wouldn't.

I mean, the pain from a surgery, having to take narcotics, is enough to put the fear of God into anyone, so I'm a bit scared of that....but really, I feel like someone popped my balloon.

Good news is my incisions are healing up very quickly and nicely. The PA was wowed with how quickly I'm healing.

I'm a healer, so I heal fast....but why can't I heal what's going on in my stomach?

Dear Heavenly Father , we thank You for this group , we lift up Haun as she leaves us for a while , we thank You for getting Tiger through some fires and ask for calm waters for all, we lift up our world Lord and ask for healing of the souls, we ask You be with the Leaders around the world as the the tone of unrest is all around , we ask You be with those that lost loved ones in the bridge collapse and be with GLP and all it's members to have good hearts and the enemy have no power in this place , guide and lead us Lord to do Your will, Bless this group and provide for our needs, we ask You be with Cosmic Gypsy and she get well without surgery , in Jesus name amen

satan is very good at causing us to feel defeated , I am studying Job and I do not understand many things but I just know from Job's story we are not our own and if we can take our eyes off self and focus on Him it helps.

I do not know what your happy place is but find it and fill your mind with it.

I know you don't like it when I say it, but you are the ONLY PERSON on the face of the planet who brings me closer to Jesus and God....and I do think you're awesome, and I love you. I know you're a humble lady, but I do think you are special. No pedestal kind of stuff, just a special human being.

No results from the CT yet, but it was only finished about a half hour ago....heh, no news for the remainder of the day would be good news.

This stuff here is temporary. I pray for complete healing. For those that know the truth, our destiny is knocking at the door. I speculate 6 months at the most. Just remember when God shakes the whole earth and Heaven too, we will be the last of the last. Eternal peace and no more worries of this world. You are my sister in Christ.

2 Kings 2

It is totally fascinating the two people that did not die in the Bible ,we know the least about. There is a lot of conversation we do have between God and Elijah.

1 And it came to pass, when the Lord would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.
Jesus and Peter are all over this chapter , three times Elisha says this to Elijah.

2 And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for the Lord hath sent me to Bethel. And Elisha said unto him, As the Lord liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Bethel.
I will not leave thee , Peter did but Jesus restored him three times.

7 And fifty men of the sons of the prophets went, and stood to view afar off: and they two stood by Jordan. 8 And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground.
God made the waters and controls the waters for His purpose all through the Bible, Job 38.

9 And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me. 10 And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.

A hard thing he tells him and will leave that request up to God. Why a hard thing, to have a single portion and walk on this planet is hard. When I fell what I call, goofy in love with God, I ask a similar thing , not understanding what I was asking. I prayed for a long time “God let me do more than what You called me to do. “

Then when I saw how hard it was to just do one thing against the world , I stopped praying that. Now it is Lord just help do what You want today...
Elijah is one of my favorite reads and I long to do and listen as He did. God told him where to go and what to do and he did it. Elijah the Tishbite , is about all we know about his life before this story. His only story that mattered is how he obeyed God and God chose to just take him in a whirlwind. The same God that did this , Job 38 Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said...

12And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.

Elisha got his wish but it was a bitter sweet. Elisha took that mantel and parted the waters same as Elijah. The fifty tried to find Elijah but never did. Elisha will start his journey off same as Elijah.

19 And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray thee, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord seeth: but the water is naught, and the ground barren.
22 So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spake. 23 And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head. 24And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the Lord . And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.

In this one chapter we have a whirlwind , parting of the waters and bears obeying God. Mocking is something we never want to be found doing. I walked in the land of bears for ten years and know without doubt I was protected many times without even knowing it because God was not done with me yet.

To walk this planet with God is the only way to walk. Death and dangers like bears do not go away but to place our lives in His hands , is a peace Elijah had facing all those dangers. God will take us when He is ready. I have often thought of why Elijah did not die but he passing of the Spirit to Elisha holds the answer.
Luke 1:17 He will also go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, ‘to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,’ and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”

We love a mighty King and I myself am clueless most of the time of what He can do...

Owls came today again in Scriptures they are a symbol of desolation, destruction...hold on and pray constantly
