We, the people, need to stop fighting with each other and start to correct ourselves more into God's likeness. I can't see the little sliver in your eye if I am trying to correct the log in my own. :) Only God knows what His perfect will is, for all that is going on in the news today. I'm grateful He is in charge, and I am not.

One more thought on this - with events in my life, most often the very things which seemed absolutely the worst possible turned out to be the best ever, if I just waited a little while. Don't know how that applies to the news of the day, but I believe it does.

Thank you that you noticed , if you ever see I did not post in the morning without letting you know I am gone , then know I have no internet of the Lord finally took me.

Romans 1 &2
Just wow I have not been in this book in a long time , it is powerful.
Romans 1:9-12 shows how and what Paul prayed for and comfort comes from being with those that have mutual faith. Verse 14 shows the Gospel is to be preached to all.
Verse 16 shows it has power to those that believe but we must believe. In verse 20 we see there is no excuse for not seeing the power of God from the miracles Paul and the others did to the air we breath.
I only have to watch a bird fly or see a rainbow to see His awesome working power.
I am going to make a list of all things covered in chapters 1 and 2 of why we all need Jesus.

This will be a long list , not glorying God, not being thankful, vanity, wise in our own eyes, making God on the level of humans or His creations, changing the truth to suit our wants and desires, going against the nature God had set up. The list continues , unrighteous, fornication, wicked,coveting, murder, debate, deceit, malignity, whisperers, backbiters, haters, despiteful, proud,boasters,inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, not understanding , covenant breakers , without natural affection, implacable and unmerciful.

That list covers every person on the planet generation after generation, that is why we need Jesus. King Solomon tells us there is not a human alive that does not sin. The word of God convicts or it does not. For those that it does we are to take comfort and strengthen one another to face” Romans 2:5-6 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurers up unto thyself wrath against the day of the righteous judgment of God;Who will render to every ,an according to his deeds.”

I have never been sadder than to see words spoken and said by believers during elections. Then when the fires started up in California ,those same people saying that is their judgment for being liberal. Oh how I hate that word.
I look at that list Paul gives and see how many of them I have been a part of. I see how many times I am thankful God allowed someone in my life that stood in truth and helped me be pulled out of the pit of hell.
Today if you have been guilty of judging another person thinking you are loved more and less a sinner, STOP.
Paul preached the truth to all, Romans 1: 15-20, please read these chapters. Pray for one another , stop using words satan uses like Liberal. There are only two kinds of people sinners and the lost. God judges the lost that will not listen and He judges the sinners. The sinners that believe where to help each other with the True Word of God to have less things go into the fire that day we will all be judged.

Excellent, excellent post. We so easily are divided by "names" or "categories". Then anger sets in over differences, then accusations, all building toward hate. If we sat down with someone on the so-called opposite side of anything over coffee, we'd have more similarities than not. Today I am a forgiven sinner. It's my job to pray for the unforgiven, not to give them "names" or "categories". Politics won't last but judgement will. Division doesn't move us to press on toward the prize which Paul wrote about.

Politics and labels are placed on us to divide us but together in Christ we are strong. Nothing can take that away from us. God is in control of everything that happens and it all works towards his Glory. It can be hard to see in the mire as at times it can be ugly. He is slow to anger and long suffering for us.

Romans is such an awesome book! It is my go-to, among others, especially chapter 8....GFG, you are doing such a wonderful blessing posting these...it helps me and I am sure many many others..

Praying for all posting here...feeling deep despair over the wildfires...I clicked on one news site and saw the animals rescued and it tore me to pieces...the suffering of those beings upset me no end...praying for Mercy upon the innocents...

Praying the prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me a sinner...because I know I am unworthy...but Jesus Loves Me nonetheless...

Exodus 10:21And the Lord said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt.

There are two kinds of darkness , a physical and spiritual, this verse covers both. A darkness that can be felt is not a pleasant feeling. I have wrote how important the plagues of Exodus are for us this very day.
The darkness in Exodus is one of the last events before death of the children and then the Red Sea miracle.
There has been an is coming two kinds of darkness again ,before the return of Jesus Christ. A darkness of the soul as found in 2 Timothy and then a physical as in” Matthew 24 :29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.”

There has always been a darkness in souls from Cain to now. Jesus and all the writers explain how that darkness will creep in ,as in the days of Noah and Sodom. Spiritual darkness is where the Light of Jesus is not found. Spiritual darkness is where God is not allowed in.
Long ago a spiritual darkness started growing and one of the most powerful places this happened was where the children are being educated.

School construction is going on where I live and the delays should make us pause. I have shared before schools have physical construction and they construct God's children spiritually in ways we did not understand .
One dark soul long ago had God removed from our schools and now many have to hide or keep quiet God in public education, satan has loved this. This has shown the children who has more power, who to be afraid of, who to listen to , we never saw that coming. Many children for decades learned about God in school before this. For many children God is not taught at home. We can not go back and do what we should have done in the 60's, which was to walk out and take no part of any system God was not allowed. Private christian schools are so expensive the poor have not choice, satan is very clever.
The darkness would have come slower and less souls lost had a stand been taken 50 plus years ago. Peter is our example of who we are before we have the Spirit of God. Peter that loved Jesus denied Him three times before the Cross. Jesus explains satan had ask for his soul ,but prayed for Him to not be lost. We are to fear only One on this planet.

Jesus tells us this , “Luke 9:5And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.”

Paul says this , “Romans 1:16For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”

We are told over and over, we were to be separate , we can not hang out in darkness and not become darkness in this world.
“2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?”

I will be very disliked and thought radical by saying , maybe God is halting the construction of the school so many have longed for, because of Luke 9”5 or 2 Corinthians 6:14.
All I know is when I read the Bible all I see is radical and extreme. Can you imagine if every follower of God in America said today , they would not step foot into a public school unless God is allowed back in. The children would see Who to fear. The children would see Who has more power...”Luke 12:5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.”

The darkness has crept in slowly and we did not see the power of it because we tried to live in and with both. We have blended in darkness with the Light on earth but there is coming a separation of the Light and darkness we were to always prepare for. We were to always only be the in and of the Light. Our Lord told us we can not be or do both. There was always to have been those found in the Ark and those that walked through the Red Sea and those that escaped Sodom. I have heard my whole life I feel bad for home schooled children they do not get to do the things of public schools. How will the interact with the world when they grow up, satan has been very clever offering his kingdoms?

In the Ark , crossed the Red Sea, out of Sodom or be Peter before the Cross is our choice. The system that has educated our children for decades will not be allowed in Heaven and yet we wonder why children and things are the way they are???
We were to not be Lot's wife and even look back as we followed Luke 9:5... They did and got things wrong generation after generation but we have today, to get on the Ark, cross the Red Sea and get out of Sodom...

Jesus explains why the path is narrow to Heaven, we under estimated the enemy of God, that offers things that look good and nice but are full of darkness...satan offered things to Jesus knowing He was the Son of God , what on earth do you think he has done with us. Lord help us have no part of darkness.
