Daniel 1:8But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.

Jonah 1:Now the word of the Lord came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, 2 Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me. 3 But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the Lord, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the Lord. 4 But the Lord sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken.


Two very different people the Lord used for His purpose. Fact is all the characters in Scripture are very different from each other. Daniel was taken captive and Jonah was ask to go to a place he did not want to go. People were saved in Daniel and Jonah. Daniel could not have faced all he faced without the Lord and he was a willing servant.
Jonah on the other hand had to be made to obey the Lord. Most of us tend to be Jonah selfish , comfortable and thinking we can flee from the Lord. In Daniel it would be things like the furnace event and shutting the mouth of Lions to save people. In Jonah it would be a great wind, waves of the sea and a big fish to save people. No matter what story is in the Bible the Lord always gives His word first then followed by His signs and wonders. The Lord uses the voice of humans first to give His message from Noah, Moses , Daniel , Jonah , Peter to today.

“Mark 16:20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen. “

The greatest trick of satan was to take away “ confirming the word with signs following.” We became happy with singing songs and hearing a word and leaving out the most important part. Who is the Lord working with today? They will be followed by His signs. What are His signs? They are things that humans can not mimic...

Go back and look at all the characters in Scriptures ,they shared what word God wanted , backed by His confirmation with His signs and wonders. Many times those signs are instant and others were hundreds of years later. The word without God confirming by His signs following , are not of Him, that is how we know the difference.

“Jonah 3:And the word of the Lord came unto Jonah the second time, saying, 2 Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee. 3 So Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the word of the Lord. Now Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days' journey. 4And Jonah began to enter into the city a day's journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown.”

Why Nineveh repented with only the words of “Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown,” is very important. They knew what forty days meant to the Lord. I know my first thoughts is Noah.

We are being called to repent , stop all we have been doing , teaching, or preaching. Watch and listen to Him, He never stopped confirming His word with His signs following...Chose to be Daniel and not Jonah is the call...

Prayers for you. Also, I immediately thought of this thread when I read your post: Thread: SHINGLES PAIN AND ITCHING? I think I might have actually stumbled onto a CHEAP EFFECTIVE REMEDY.

Dear Heavenly Father , we lift this group up today and ask You provide the needs , we ask for healing of abeliever and this never flare up again in Jesus name amen

Next few weeks are going to be very trying for me. Praying for protection and positive outcome. For finality and new beginnings. Also asking God to keep me safe from all harm spiritually as well as physically. Amen.
