Daily Prayer Thread !!!Plus The Word

Prayers needed.
My friend Dee was found dead this morning. She had died in her sleep. She was more than a friend, she was helping me tremendously with my campaign, letting me know about speaking opportunities,networking, etc. I just talked to her and saw her a few days ago, and she reminded me again about some important meetings to go to.
I hadn't let it out on here, but I was thinking about starting a thread about it. I am running for school board in my city, the first time I have ever ran for office in my life.I am fed up with all aspects of our government, and, darn it, I am going to try my best to get on the school board and straighten things up.

I am in shock. My youngest daughter found out a little earlier, and relayed the bad news to me. Dee was fine just a few days ago.I can't believe this.

I do want to also say that I admire what you are doing for the schools in your area. Good for you my friend!

I still am in shock. I am functioning, and I went out today as I had planned to last week, to buy some more appropriate clothes to wear at public speaking events(I am a blue jeans and t-shirt person). Village Discount had everything 1/2 price today for their Labor Day Sale. :)
My daughter said I got to do this for Dee. Somehow, I got to get myself together, and go for it.I am up against people with unlimited money, and one heck of a lot of political pull.

I need prayers, my friends. I am currently in meltdown mode. I WAS doing sorta OK, but a packet of info from Dee just came in the mail a few minutes ago. It was about the candidates night coming up. She wanted my bio and other info to prep the pass outs for the people in attendance for this event. Dee mailed this on Friday, and she died in her sleep Saturday night. :(
I got to snap out of this. I have to pick up my grandson from school in another hour, and I have a school board meeting to go to this evening.

I picked up my grandson from school, and now I got to get it together for the meeting at 6pm cst. My husband is cooking supper. I had some things I wanted to do later this afternoon, but I am like in a daze right now. :(
My husband said this was a "message from the grave", in his opinion. It was a message to FIGHT !!!
I will not quit, but this is making it so hard. :(
