Thank you for your honesty. Personal Experiences I myself have never been one to hold continual anger / hatred towards anyone. And amazingly...I've pretty much always had inner peace. For many years my Mom had recurring dreams etc...of things that happened when she was younger, and these things caused her much depression, anger etc... A few years ago the Good Lord compelled me to tell her that she needed to forgive. The next time we talked I asked her about this, and she said that she prayed to do just that. She never had another dream etc... Jesus' OWN words... Matthew 6:14-15 14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. You see our divisions, our pain, our lack of providing safety to many children, the ridicule of people who are poor and bereft of alternatives. Please bring us together again under Your protection and love and help us to once again function as a nation proud of their allegiance to You and Your Will. We are at a crossroad dim with evil and corruption. Be our Light. Please, Father, help us choose the right path. Amen. Quoting: -Haun- AMEN ! Praise God from Whom all Blessings flow !!! |

She is happy in her current employment, but it doesn't pay what it should. The bosses and all of the employees absolutely love her, and do not want her to leave. She is only using a minimum of her accounting skills at this current job. She has been offered a job making $3 an hour more, but the schedule and attire is rigid, and the drive is about 10 minutes longer. It is also a government agency job. Besides the $3 an hour wage increase, it does offer insurance, but she has to pay for it. Currently she doesn't have medical insurance. She is very torn. The current job she has, is a job for life, if she wants it. She has been there for 1 1/2 years. She is making more than any other employee there, except for the manager and the owner. FYI, the owner said if she wants, to try out the new job for a bit, and come back if it doesn't work out. Yes, they want to keep her that badly. They have accommodated her before, when she tried another job that was not a good one. IMO, I would rather stick with less pay, and be happy, than get more money and be miserable. My husband wants her to move on from her current job, and told her so. I told her where she is happy, and still has enough wages to sustain herself, and extra, to stay. Praise God from Whom all Blessings flow !!! |

She has to decide by Monday. :( You know Tiger, she sounds balanced in her job, happy, loved and from that this should be an easy decission. Of course we always strive to want more, more, more, but that mindset often leads to less. Less fun, less comfort, less peace. Of course, 3 dollar an hour is quite an increase, but what does the stress cost? The insecurity about it, the leaving a place where she is happy and valued. At that new job she has to earn her spot again on a worse schedule, with new colleagues and longer driving time. Of course, when it does not work out she could come back to her old job, but then what has she gained. Nothing, she only lost time and maybe even confidence with her crew, because she left before, despite her boss telling her that she can always come back. You did the one right thing and that is to tell her that she has all the balance where she is now, happy, making enough to make ends meet and more. That alone is worth way more than those 3 dollars an hour. When someone is in a good place and happy and balanced, than less money is more life. Just my two cents. I wish her good luck, but if it were for me, definetely stay put. And seeing that they want her to stay that bad, maybe negotiate about medical insurance or at least a small raise in pay so she can pay it out of that increase.
