Daily Prayer Thread !!!Plus The Word

I have spoken about this several times so won't bore everyone with details, but I have terminal cancer and the time is growing short. The doctors gave me until the first of the year but I really hoped it would be longer. Now the pain has gotten more severe and I'm taking narcotics, so I know it is downhill now.

What I need prayer for is my obsession with politics right now. I should be drawing closer to God but since a 12hr. surgery last December, I haven't been myself. I've been more irritable, shorter attention span and haven't been reading my Bible. When I do read it, I'm amazed and asking myself why I'm avoiding it. Avoidance is what I'm experiencing.

I'm not afraid to die because I've been fighting this disease for 10yrs. now this month and there have been times when I've felt so bad I wouldn't have minded dying. But this avoidance of God in the last year is really bad. I pray, but not like I used to. It's like I had brain damage from that long surgery and anesthesia.

I used to be fascinated with Bible prophecy and now the political part of prophecy has caught my attention more.

I don't remember hearing the doctors' voices or anything during the surgery. The operative report is clean, in fact it says I had no blood loss though I received 2 units of blood. I don't remember any near-death experience or anything but I was a different person when I came out of anesthesia.

So I would like prayer that I can shut the tv and computer off long enough to spend some quality time with the Lord, since I will be meeting Him soon. I've prayed every day for healing but it seems that is not His plan for me so I want to be ready when I meet Him. Sorry this is so long. Thank you all for your prayers.

Dear Heavenly Father ,we thank You for this forum and group , we thank You for Your Grace and Mercy , we are undeserving of You Holy Love , but thank You , be with hearts right now as the earth shakes ,to know Who created us and holds us not matter what happens , keep out eyes fixed on You in Jesus name amen

UPDATE !

We went to court this morning for the domestic battery case against my son-in-law. The judge never showed up, and they had to call in another one. The police officer that arrested him didn't show up, as his child is in the hospital.They couldn't find the case file for over 2 hours. When they found the case file, finally, the pics of my daughters injuries were not there.
My son-in-law had a bench warrant out on him for failing to appear from when he totaled out his vehicle in August.

There is now a status hearing set for January 17th, and the son-in-law was strongly urged to get an attorney.On this day, a trial date will be set, unless my son-in-law pleads guilty to the domestic abuse and the citations from the accident.

So, we probably will not have to go back to court until February at the earliest, possibly March.
