We went to court today for the battery charge against my estranged son-in-law, who finally got himself a lawyer.A plea deal was struck. He is ordered to stay away from my daughter, who already has a restraining order on him good for 2 years, and he has been ordered to stay away from me. So,if he behaves himself for 1 year, the charges will be dropped. But, if he comes anywhere near my daughter or me, off to jail he goes.

As some of you know, I have had some serious issues with my husband, both mental and physical. On top of everything, the past few years he has shown signs of dementia. It is rapidly getting worse. He is not remembering whole conversations. He has also been exhibiting multiple episodes of paranoia. I quit going to church once during the week,3 months ago, and now only go on Sundays, because of his paranoia.I cannot repeat the awful accusations and nasty comments thrown my way from him regarding this.
Saturday was a real winner. He went into the store, made a purchase, and walked out of the store, and couldn't find his truck keys. He had parked close to the door, and could see his truck. It was running. He had left it running with the doors locked, and didn't even remember doing this. The fact he did this actually scared him. Fortunately, he keeps a spare key in his wallet, for when he warms up the truck parked at our house in below zero weather, and locks the doors.
He went to the doctor this morning. I found out about his appointment yesterday evening. I am not allowed to go to the doctor with him, because he says I "snitch" on him. I have never said a word to the doctor about anything until this morning. As soon as he left for the doctors, I called up the doctors office, and relayed the deteriorating mental status of my husband to them. I told them to please not tell him that I called, and to have the doctor weave the dementia talk in with the regular exam.If my husband knew I called the doctor, I would really pay over here.
My husband has gained an enormous amount of weight, and the doctor thinks his thyroid might be acting up. They took 5 vials of blood, and I am not sure if he has to go back for the results, or they will call him. His blood pressure was high, but not as bad as it was a month ago.
I really have my hands full over here, my friends, and I do need prayer.

You do have your hands full, my friend. Sooooooo much going on all at once!! I am so sorry. hugs

:7sad7:

Taking a deep breath for you, with you. Come in and sit with us awhile. Relax. Feel the loving support, peace, strength of your friends. And take some with you as you go back to dealing with what you can, a bit at a time.

While you are taking care of so much and doing for so many, please take care of you too! When it gets too overwhelming, time to take a lil break again, breathe deeply, relax some more.

One mistake many of us make is not relaxing whenever possible. Even the mighty oak needs to bend with the wind, or it will break.

It sounds like the lab is doing a complete panel for your husband's thyroid, which is the best way to see what may be going on with his thyroid.

You are in our thoughts, our hearts, our prayers.
