Re: Daily Prayer Thread !!!Plus The Word
Yesterday I was studying Hebrews it has strong words and I never really caught this before...

Hebrews 10NKJ
26 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. 28 Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. And again, “The Lord will judge His people.” 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

I fear we have forgot and make light of the Cross , pray for those today you know face this...
 Quoting: Goofy for God

Some people interpret that to mean that if we sin AFTER we have accepted Christ, then the sin nullifies Jesus' sacrifice for us and we are condemned once again.

This cannot be true, as Peter had both denied knowing Him and previously had cut off the ear of the Roman. And Doubting Thomas refused to believe in the Resurrection until he had see and touched Jesus.

God knows that we as humans are basically unable to completely stop sinning. Repentenance is the key, as throughout the OT God continually had the prophets tell the people to repent. John the Baptist stated such in the NT, and Jesus first words of His ministry were "Repent for the Kingdom is at hand".

My husband grew up being taught that once you accepted Christ and continued to sin you would lose your salvation. The church he tried to take our family to teaches that you can pray and pray and pray and try to walk in the footsteps and words of Lord Jesus everyday and still go to hell.
This bothered me tremendously as like you said the Lord knows that because our spirit is within this sinful flesh we can not completely stop sinning. Repentance is the key. Honestly coming to the Lord and asking his forgiveness and once again picking up your cross.

This upbringing my husband had is one of the problems we deal with as a couple in Christ. I pray for him everyday that the Lord will show him that he is not lost and nothing is too large for the Living God! I struggle with him wanting us to attend this church as he sees its the only church and anyone who doesnt attend it will go to hell.

I will have to remind him gently of both Peter and Thomas and make a bible study out of these scriptures. Thanks for reminding me too that we have to DAILY bear our CROSS for the Lord.

AMEN.

Re: Daily Prayer Thread !!!Plus The Word
Hey folks, I decide to share my stories in this topic because elsewhere on GLP I get some nasty or not serious replies. So here it goes: last friday I sat in my dad his car, waiting. He had some work to do at hospital. Next to me there was a window and I could see a cute lady working. I saw she kept looking at me from the corner of my eye. I didn't want to look too much towards her direction. Then suddenly I decided to wave and she he waved back. She smiled and the look in her eyes told me some more. When my dad after 5 min came back and we drove away, she kept looking at me. That's the moment I thought I should have written something on the paper that was laying next to me. Do you know the moment when an idea comes too late into your mind? Now I'm wondering if I should go back to see her... Or would it seem like I am a stalker?

Yes it is wrong GFG, but as the Bible states many times..."the flesh is weak".

Not sure where your head is on this. If you're trying to point out folks who deliberately sin while constantly thinking that "I'm a believer...I have no need to worry", then I think that this is a "fine line" in the sand. The percentage of Believers who do this is pretty small.

I don't consider those folks true Believers because of their intent, frame of mind and condition of heart. They would have no remorse, which means that they don't repent.

And remember what Jesus said in Mark 3:22–30 and Matthew 12:22–32.

31 "Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men.

32 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.

Re: Daily Prayer Thread !!!Plus The Word
Okay, this is the last time I let it slide. My family needs help.

Last night, the devil came knocking once again around 3:30 am. Me and my husband both woke up to knocks of 3s on our house (we live in the country, scary shit is normal) for a atleast 15 minutes. It seemed to be coming from every, and no direction, you could say. This is not the first time, and not the first incident. Everyone that has lived on our property has had the SAME PROBLEMS. I am also, and always have been since a child, REALLY sensitive and having 100% accurate discernment. I have walked through our back yard by the trees and there is a DEFINITE presence back there. So strong that it feels as though i'm walking through a wall and I get dizzy when I walk through it.

Now, there is something evil trying to break up my family for sure. The mexicans call it la lechuza, but I believe it is several things, including demons. Its believed that owls are witches (kinda funny, I know) but nowadays i've noticed a big trend with owls and the occult. I also had sleep paralysis a while back where I was attacked by what I knew in that moment, an owl sitting in a tree behind our house several meters away. My husband also, days later, without knowing about my incident, told me about his nightmare about an owl flying around our home. Now, I know it might be a coincidence but i'm starting not to think so anymore. That I can feel this thing trying to manipulate my thoughts into arguing with my husband. It hits my weak spot and reminds me of his past wrongdoings that we're currently trying to get over. This thing tries to make me, and him angry so we'll fight. And I swear on everything, if we do end up in an argument, that's when the owls come near our house and hoot to let us know theyre near. If i'm in the bedroom bathroom at night, I hear the owl hooting, getting closer and closer to my bathroom window. It makes this "hah hah, hah hah" sound almost like it's laughing at us. Like I said, I always hear owls, they're normal and there are alot of rodents out here in the country. BUT they only ever come near and find which room of my house i'm in when we're arguing. That laugh sound they make only happens when we argue. It's really creepy.

We have alot of people practicing witchcraft around our area too, I have seen it before and it's no joke. Other incidences in our home include things falling over, feeling a presence behind me, the babies and or dogs seeing something and freaking out, I CONSTANTLY, EVERYNIGHT have sick weird dreams. I notice that i'm so tired all the time because I fall into such a deep sleep at night that I go into this sick, dream world. I dream of perverted sex often times, sharks, venomous snakes, falling from clouds, dirty bathrooms, being robbed, etc. Basically all bad dreams. Lights in our house have turned on and off by themselves, the tv aswell. And I could just go on and on.

I am a Christian, and an awake one at that. But I haven't been a very good one lately. Me and my husband have been fighting alot, some things are things he allows to happen that are totally wrong and he won't admit it, other things are just normal fights. I also haven't been in my bible like I should. But these demonic forces were here before I ever moved in. I've had to hear about them from my inlaws and friends. Basically, who do I go see to remove them? What can me and my family do? Do we put up crosses and pray? The only reason I don't have crosses is because they don't seem to work and the bible says not to worship graven images. I want to have normal dreams again, I'm tired of these demons harassing us in the night, and in the day. I just want it all to stop. I kinda think we have to just move but i'm scared "they'll" follow.

Seriously please help.

There was some good advice to this woman concerning prayers and putting on the Armor of God. I wanted to add her post here as well so we can pray for her family. As i posted on her thread, i grew up in a house like this and i can tell you that it is not an enjoyable experience. I wish i had people praying for me when i had lived there.

I hope everyone is having a great day. I have much love for you all. God bless you friends.

Yes we will sin everyday but to continue in a sin once we know it is wrong is wrong , The Cross was not for us to abuse
 Quoting: Goofy for God

Amen GFG! We must crucify our flesh daily and carry our cross. We must strive to be like Lord Jesus!

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 74170004

She was working in a lab. I had thought as she was experimenting with some kind of liquids, to write on a piece of paper: "what beer are you brewing? I'm thirsty!" xD

Yesterday I went back but the curtains were closed and my dad parked his car not in front of the window. So murphy has got me this time. I'm thinking of spreading a message by using the radio.

Re: Daily Prayer Thread !!!Plus The Word
My faith was really tested this week. One was traffic and the other by the words of a fellow believer. It was said to me, you can judge a persons walk with God by their fruits and how God blesses them. The discussion was about a person getting a good job and new car. If I was not deep rooted in the word everyday I could have let those words make me question my walk. I started to argue that was false but was quickly corrected that God blesses us with such things if we are walking in faith. I only have to look at the life of Peter to understand how this has got twisted with all the fish in the nets.
Jesus and the Apostles are our examples of walking in faith. Jesus and the Apostles lived day to day. They where beaten , mocked , imprisoned and killed by this world. Our walks with God can be seen when we have little or much.
Never judge a fellow believer by their job, car , home or money. Luke 16:19-31The Rich Man and Lazarus.
You only have to read this one story and there are many to know our rewards that matter happen after this life. Study the beggars and the poor Jesus healed because of their faith. Then study the ones that had many worldly possessions.
1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. Please study the word of God everyday ,we are in a sea of weak and false doctrines and for many words like that will cause doubts. God loves the beggars as much as He loves the rich man.
