Quoting: tiger1  I did a few things around the house today, but now I feel like taking a nap. I am so tired of being sick, and I had to do something, as my house was not looking like it should. I also canned 12 jars of black raspberry jam today, praying the whole time that I would have the strength to finish the job. I thought I would have only 6 or 7 jars at most, because there were only a few berries left on the vines this morning, and I had only a couple of small bowlfuls I picked earlier in the week. I watched the batch cooking in the pot nearly double itself before my eyes. God is Good !!! I had 34 jars total this year, and I am thankful ! I defended myself against the verbal attacks by my husband while I was canning the jam. He said I should have told him that I was going to pick and can berries, and he would have watered the vines last night. So he said I only get shriveled dried up ones to make jam. Well, the ones I picked this morning were plump and juicy. I told him that seeing I got pneumonia and a partial lung collapse, I did not know yesterday that I would be able to make jam today. When I was getting the 2nd half of the batch of jars into the pot to process, he jumped all over my case for not using the lid tightener he bought me last year. I told him I didn't need it, as the jam jars are easy to tighten, but the quart jars for pickles are harder to do. He said I wasted his money that he paid for the jar lid tightener. Gosh, I hope that $4 didn't break him, LOL !!! I told him that doesn't he have anything better to do than criticize everything I do? He walked away from me when I said that. So, I am feeling better today, and a bit feisty. Thank you for the prayers, my friends ! Please keep them coming, as tomorrow morning just might be a bit rough. Woman!! You just don't believe in resting do ya?! Lol, sheesh! I am happy to see that your feistiness is still kicking! You are just awesome. But I am concerned about your health and really wish you could get some rest (and peace from the nagging hubby). Best wishes for tomorrow. You will be in my prayers, as always. This week China found Nephilim remains ,the thought of the great flood came again. As I read Genesis again ,I think of all that died that forty days. I have never questioned why God did not put giants on the Ark. I only have to watch certain movies to know I would not want to live with T-Rex or Nephilims. There is so much in Genesis Chapter 6, but every time I see a sea shell on a mountain or look at the skeleton of a dinosaur I stand in awe of the God we know. Genesis 6 (NKJV) Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, 2 that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose. 3 And the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.” 4 There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown No matter the long ongoing arguments of this passage , Sons of God where not the same as men. No matter the long ongoing argument how the dinosaurs died , they lived and God destroyed them. It is easy for me to see how the great flood did this , but if it matters to us when God returns we will understand many mysteries this earth has... We know from this chapter God does not like evil or violence, as we do not. One day we will find His Grace as Noah did in this passage ; And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. 7 So the Lord said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.” 8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. My youngest daughter brought me some sandwiches from a place called the Tomato Bar. They were so good ! Grilled portabello mushrooms on pita with 3 different Italian cheeses and baby spinach.They were big! I ate one last night, and the other one when I came back from the doctor a little while ago. Doctor Update: PRAISE GOD !!! My pneumonia is clearing up, but I am still getting short of breath once in a while. My x-rays look good, no sign of anything bad. My weird shaped lungs are probably from being a preemie baby, in the doctors opinion, since I was a 3 pound 12 inch preemie. The lower portion of my right lung is still deflated, but the doctor thought she might have heard a little squeak from that area.It can take 4 months for the lung to fully inflate, or it might not go back to normal because of my COPD. Time will tell. I have to go back in a month, but if I get a relapse, I got to go back right away. The doctor said it was a good thing I went in for medical help immediately. I didn't venture out other than the doctors and to get cough syrup on the way home. I do have to TRY to take it easy.I plan on going to church on sunday, but I will have to see how I am feeling, first. I got a lot of formal thanks to give the Good Lord ! Praise God from Whom all Blessings flow !!! |
