Prosperity


The world has always judge people by their worldly successes and possessions. We can look down even on our Christian bothers and sisters and judge by this.
I am still in Genesis and today as I read about Joseph and came to these verses,2 The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. 3And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all he did to prosper in his hand , I paused.

If we stop right there and not look at the whole life of Joseph we could come up with what many use as, if the Lord is with us we are successful in this world.
Looking back he was hated by his brothers , almost killed , thrown in a well and sold as a slave. God took all that and used for His purpose.
It is not long after the verses of 2 and 3 ,Joseph ends up in prison due to the evil wife of his master. This life has nothing to do with the success and prosperity of this world. This life is about this verse after Joseph is in prison, 21But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison.

God can allow us worldly success and prosperity, but it has nothing to do with us. Joseph and Job are awesome examples of how things are given and taken away. It is the time things are taken away true faith is seen, tested and built.
God took all the cruelty this world gave Joseph and used it for His glory , that is what all this is about. God chose and loved Joseph , it was not what Joseph did but what God did in and with his life.
Our greatest reward is yet to come, this is just a threshing floor. Never look at anyone through worldly eyes . The world is so indoctrinated in this mind set , weak believers or non believers look at any true believers and judge by worldly success and prosperity. If they are in a well or prison like Joseph then they think God does not love them.

If we think I went to school, I worked hard , I did this , I did that, be very careful. There is only One I...

May all that are suffering find peace, hope and LOVE.

My bible quotes are fuzzy, but I remember Jesus saying "and the greatest of these is love" The beatitudes I think.


Just as a PS:
Because I don't read the bible doesn't mean that I don't know and talk to God.

It's so hard to discern what is true/real in this world anymore. What is real? Love is the bottom truth, and the truth will never be perturbed.

I pray for those who are lost in this vicious cycle of obtaining material and chasing false PROFITS.

God will leave signs for us all, i am afraid most people don't look for them or recognize them anymore.

Have mercy on us Lord. I love you.

Israel's Love For Joseph
Genesis 37:
3Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age. Also he made him a tunic of many colors.


God is showing me so much in studying the life of Joseph, I have either forgotten or never saw some of this .
Israel had many sons but we see from that verse he loved Joseph more than any of his children. That caused all kinds of problems down the road. God turned this story around for His Glory , but we should learn from Israel. Many years ago God showed me nothing is mine. Everything from my breathe today to my loved ones in my life are His.
The story of Joseph could have had many different outcomes ,but it had the one we read about . One of the greatest things the Lord has allowed me to see, today the building we go to worship Him is His. No entity , no person or persons has ownership but stewardship of it.
Once we wrap our heads around this ,then when we become Israel and lose our most loved person, place or thing it is easier. The greatest thing about this whole story is it reminds us while we lose loved ones, we will see them again in a much better way and place. Everything and I mean every person ,place and thing does not belong to us . This earth and all that is in it will pass... Jesus and Heaven can be seen in this story. To Israel Joseph had died , God gave Joseph a new life and Israel saw him again at a time most needed.
Last night I dreamed of many people that have gone before me , we will see our loved ones again like Israel saw Joseph and they are in a much better place than we are...

Dear Heavenly Father , we ask you bring my mom back to full recovery and as I told her it was only the CME and once this has passed she will be ok, let no further damage be done to her heart or mind and she not have another stroke , that when You take my sweet mom it will be quick and painless in her sleep and she never be in danger of being bed ridden , we thank you for all You do and will do in this matter , give us comfort knowing You love her and she love You in Jesus name amen
