Depending on the disease and his pain level, you might want to consider letting him go peacefully at home.

My dog Sheba is 14, and has kidney failure. She has less than 25% function left in her kidneys. I put her on a special home cooked diet as soon as she was diagnosed a couple of weeks ago. She appears to be stabilized, overall. I am not going to put her down. With the kidney failure, she will go fairly quickly when her kidneys totally fail. She will lose consciousness, and just pass away. There is a chance she will just die in her sleep.

Prayers said for you and your fur baby.

So many people on the thread and around me in my life that are having major set backs.

I hope and pray that you all get the Love, Peace and Healing that you need.

Very sorry about both of your doggies. Saying goodbye to your best friend is one of the hardest things in life.

Will pray for peace and comfort for both of you and both of your companions.

I am so sorry to hear about your pup. Praying for comfort and soothing. No one or thing will ever replace Louie, yet there's a doggie so excited for a real home right around the corner.

I really didn't even want to post this, but I have learned that it's best to not bottle things up and instead ask for prayers.

Some/most of you here in this thread know of some health issues I have had over the past few years. As a brief synopsis for those who don't know, a few years ago I had routine blood work done and my hemoglobin came back pretty high. High enough that my PCP had me called in for an appointment. During that appointment she reviewed those lab results again and did a quick physical examination. After the examination she told me that I might have leukemia.

Fast forward through a couple of years of just awful memories, physical pain, mental stress, money loss due to missing work because I was too sick to go, many appointments with specialists/doctors, x-rays (of specific areas), scans (of specific areas), sleepless nights, etc...(to summarize).

I became the 'mystery girl' according to the last hematologist I was seeing in Boston. They couldn't diagnose me with anything (due to stipulations/regulations by the WHO). Therefore no treatment and/or relief. Possibilities ranged from the original leukemia, to polycythemia vera (a rare blood cancer), to pheochromocytoma (a rare adrenal gland tumor), to paraganglioma (a rare adrenal gland tumor), etc. Symptoms and lab results pointed to those possibilities.

Blah, blah, blah...I started feeling better physically about a year ago. Had a CBC done as well as another 'specialty' test for the adrenal gland tumor possibilities and all came back within normal range aside from one of the adrenal gland tumor tests being slightly elevated, but still lower than the previous test for it. Slowly but surely over the past few or so months I have had the symptoms come back. Slowly at first, and they still aren't nearly as bad as they used to be, but they're getting pretty uncomfortable again.

Fast forward to this afternoon. I noticed (physically) a lump on the right side of my neck. Felt it. Definitely a noticeable lump. Felt other side. No lump. Repeated this back and forth between the two sides numerous times. There is absolutely a lump on the right side of my neck. A little below my ear and back a little bit past my jaw bone. Had my guy feel it and he too felt it. My mom stopped by just a little while ago so I asked her to feel it. Yep, she felt it and also said she could see it. Could be a lymph node, although I haven't been sick (had a cold) anytime recently.

I'm gonna call my PCP in the morning to schedule an appointment just to have her take a look. I've been in hiding from the doctors now for quite some time. I don't even want to start the weekly doctor appointments again. I can't. I can't afford to financially or emotionally. But I do know I need to have this looked at so I will do that much.

He might be diabetic. My aunts dog has diabetes. She feeds him only certain foods twice a day, at 7am and 7pm. After he eats, he gets a shot of insulin. He gets a small treat twice a day, and gets his blood sugar checked once a day. His diabetes is in good control.

This is one of the gifts from God. We live in a strange world , we are humans in this testing ground called earth but God is Spirit and so is satan. These last few weeks has been very busy and while things are said and things are done the Lord gave me , “things are not as they appear.”

Humans test us , God allows us to be tested by both humans and satan so it is easy to see why many try and escape this world with mind altering things. We are in a constant battle and even Jesus had to escape from people. We can be our own worst enemy and this life can be very draining.
As children of God no matter what we see or hear ,trust God first and ask Him for this gift in this very chaotic and confusing world. Sometimes we need to escape, not as the world escapes but as Jesus did.
Luke 5:16 And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.

God Himself had and has withdrew Himself from humans because we are a mess...

I told you guys that evil is trying to attack me, right? Then all of a sudden after getting baptized all these legal issues come up - apparently, now I have a warrant. So I've been faxing and calling and doing everything in my power to try and find legal aide - because the Public Defenders office was like "Sure, yeah, okay, take a number, see you on the 28th" Heh.

So the Florida Bar refers me to a lawyer and I'm super excited. I was arrested for Driving with no license, so I have to walk. The receptionist is talking to me while I hear him in the background and she's like "You need to come here now! Mr. Fleck is willing to see you today!"

I explain later this evening would be better. Or Monday. "If you're serious, you'll come now!'

Bam. I drop everything, put the baby in the stroller - and walk. Takes about 45 minutes. I get there at 1:42.

This alien looking guy, with total High Functioning Autism (HFA) comes to great me as soon as I walk in the door and is just very out-there.

First, he yells at me for being late. I didn't even know we set a time? He says it's not 1:30 (about 4 times) - then he says "A baby?! What - what who's going to - what are you doing walking with a baby with a warrant!"

"Well, sir, that's why I'm here at a lawyers office."

"Oh, no - you... You just - No, I will not shake your hand! You - My only advice is turn your self in! A baby! Why would you walk here with a baby!"

"Because I don't have a drivers license... and on the phone you sounded like it was life or death urgent I get here as soon as possible?"

He opens up the door, points like a child and says "Go."

I look at the receptionist and she won't make eye contact - and out into the heat I walk pushing the baby, and walk home - takes another 45 minutes to walk home -- and I literally start crying, pushing the baby home.

Literally, stuck in my head How the heck is he a lawyer?? I don't think he does criminal law - just the type of guy who like gets a thrill from 1992 banking laws or something... So I'm starting to falter in my thinking...

Walking home - I get a text from Pastor Sean asking me "What has God blessed me with Today?" and all of a sudden my mind gets right because - I was falling into this "I'm being gang stalked" heh - just cop car after cop car, and I just /feel/ the evil - So instantly I started focusing on all the blessings today -

Baby is healthy. Wife is happy. Wife's new job is going great. Bills are paid.

Yeah. Just a very weird experience, but I'm still blessed!
