Daily Prayer Thread !!!Plus The Word

Throwing this out there just in case...

I really didn't even want to post this, but I have learned that it's best to not bottle things up and instead ask for prayers.

Ugh...

Some/most of you here in this thread know of some health issues I have had over the past few years. As a brief synopsis for those who don't know, a few years ago I had routine blood work done and my hemoglobin came back pretty high. High enough that my PCP had me called in for an appointment. During that appointment she reviewed those lab results again and did a quick physical examination. After the examination she told me that I might have leukemia.

Fast forward through a couple of years of just awful memories, physical pain, mental stress, money loss due to missing work because I was too sick to go, many appointments with specialists/doctors, x-rays (of specific areas), scans (of specific areas), sleepless nights, etc...(to summarize).

I became the 'mystery girl' according to the last hematologist I was seeing in Boston. They couldn't diagnose me with anything (due to stipulations/regulations by the WHO). Therefore no treatment and/or relief. Possibilities ranged from the original leukemia, to polycythemia vera (a rare blood cancer), to pheochromocytoma (a rare adrenal gland tumor), to paraganglioma (a rare adrenal gland tumor), etc. Symptoms and lab results pointed to those possibilities.

Blah, blah, blah...I started feeling better physically about a year ago. Had a CBC done as well as another 'specialty' test for the adrenal gland tumor possibilities and all came back within normal range aside from one of the adrenal gland tumor tests being slightly elevated, but still lower than the previous test for it. Slowly but surely over the past few or so months I have had the symptoms come back. Slowly at first, and they still aren't nearly as bad as they used to be, but they're getting pretty uncomfortable again.

Fast forward to this afternoon. I noticed (physically) a lump on the right side of my neck. Felt it. Definitely a noticeable lump. Felt other side. No lump. Repeated this back and forth between the two sides numerous times. There is absolutely a lump on the right side of my neck. A little below my ear and back a little bit past my jaw bone. Had my guy feel it and he too felt it. My mom stopped by just a little while ago so I asked her to feel it. Yep, she felt it and also said she could see it. Could be a lymph node, although I haven't been sick (had a cold) anytime recently.

I'm gonna call my PCP in the morning to schedule an appointment just to have her take a look. I've been in hiding from the doctors now for quite some time. I don't even want to start the weekly doctor appointments again. I can't. I can't afford to financially or emotionally. But I do know I need to have this looked at so I will do that much.

My doctor didn't seem too concerned with the lump itself, but she did run some blood work to make sure there's nothing going on internally.

My blood pressure was very high. She was more concerned about that. Prescribed me some meds and we'll see how those work.

I go back for a follow up in 2 weeks.

He is with us

Sitting days in a hospital you see many things about life and death. Paul is my favorite example for many things and Philippians 1: 21For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain, came to me this morning.
During this same time with my mom I drove up on a baby fawn that someone hit with their car and it was still alive. It had compound fractures a head and eye injury and eternal injuries , my heart ached. I was on my way with my mom to a heart test but stopped. I love life of all things so I held this beautiful creature and wondered if it could be saved. God gave me “sometimes death is better than life.” I flagged down several men to ask if they had anything to put this animal out of its misery. Finally a man said he did and he said something to me I will never forget,” I will do as you order. “I had to give the order of a quick death. The fawn would have died eventually but God allowed me to see many things in this event.

We fight harder to stay alive now than ever before. We have to sign papers to die naturally and not be kept alive by machines. I had to locate my moms DNR and I thought about how they lived and died in Scriptures.
Paul and all the believers in Scriptures understood what waits on the other side. We do not understand Heaven as they did then. I saw someone ask the question what would you do to stay alive if war breaks out and things get bad, the answers where alarming. We do not spend enough time in the beginning of the Bible to know we serve The God that rained manna from Heaven.
To understand God holds life and death in His hands is a peace that Paul had. We think we have taken many things out of God's hands like life and death and a machine or bottle is what keeps us alive , that is because we have forgot this.
1 Samuel 2:6
The LORD killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up. If we are not where Paul was about life and death , then we need to ask God to help us get there. As I looked at all my moms prescrition bottles I wondered what would happen if she only had one that was empty and Jesus was written on it? We are a long ways from Mark 5:26 …

Prayers for you & your husband, tiger.

Prayers needed.

My husband is sick. He has emphysema,but now he also has pneumonia. He has had chest pain and trouble breathing for a few weeks. He went to the doctor this morning. He already had an appointment for this morning to get some suspicious moles removed, and the doctor had him go to the hospital for chest x-rays after the mole removal was done, which confirmed the pneumonia.He is sleeping on the sofa right now, and is extremely miserable, and in a lot of pain.He also is having a reaction to the antibiotic for the pneumonia. I might just have to take him to the ER if it gets worse.
The mole removal was a nightmare. My husband would not numb up, no matter how many times the doctor stuck him. So, my husband really suffered as the doctor cut and cauterized 7 moles, 3 on his back, 1 on his neck, 2 on his face, and one on the side of his nose.I had to hold my husband down, as he was yelling and wincing, and I threw my right shoulder out in the process.
We will get the results of the biopsies in 1 week.
