We are a long ways from Leviticus 23. These chapters shows us God set up a system to help the first church remember Who He was. I have shared before I grew up with the Blue Law. It made me sad to think about how far we are from Leviticus 23 today. People do not like laws that tell them what to do.

Free will comes with a cost , we do not understand. I have yet to find any place that gives God a full hour much less a whole day. We now play sports , have weddings and funerals , something we did not do when I was a child. Oh sure , professional sports has always used this day, because more people are off work or at home. We did not even notice how satan had those games start after church hours.
Due to the hard preaching and teaching against law, because we do not even like to be told what speed limit to drive , we are where we are.
We forget Luke 4: 5 Then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. 6 And the devil said to Him, “All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. 7 Therefore, if You will worship before me, all will be Yours.

Not sure we understand, “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it Holy. Today if nothing else try not to say “I”, “me,” or “we.”
Take notice of anything that is not Holy and only about God. It should make us sad to see how we allowed satan to take us from Leviticus 23 , to the Blue Law to no law...God knew what He was doing when He set that up, we could not even obey one command in the Garden. We serve a God that is worth much more than a day... No, “ me , I or we, “today replace it with “The Lord, “ or do not speak at all.
Ask the Lord to help us with what” keep it Holy, “ even means.
satan gains territory everyday he is very clever and we worship his kingdom and do not even know it. It looks and taste good, Genesis 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

In this me world . how on earth are we going to fair in Heaven , when it is all about God and the world can not come in. Luke 18:8
I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
This verse should always keep us on our toes, it means we lose touch with what faith really is. Jesus knew we would become more world , satan's world, and less Holy...Luke 17:32 Remember Lot's wife.

Leviticus 25:23 ‘The land shall not be sold permanently, for the land is Mine; for you are strangers and sojourners with Me.

This chapter reminds us everything belongs to the Lord and He is our Landlord...Pretty sure we lost sight of this a long time ago...

Thank you LORD for teaching me that if I do not submit to God, and allow his authority to be over me and my household, then I shall have none in my own home. For my wife manifests the fears inside me.

You are not a God I can approach with logic. Lord, please help me FEEL YOU and walk WITH YOU and FILL ME WITH YOUR HOLY SPIRIT.

Yesterday I was told that in Texas some churches where held outside because of the floods. What glorious site that must have been. That is what God does with a flood, takes His church out of a building and out into the open.
In Montana they held church outside and there is just something very Spiritual in doing that. I think about Jesus and the Book of Acts of how different we do things now.

We have a medication for every kind of suffering there is , we do not like to be uncomfortable. We know people walked days without food to hear the Word of God and in other countries they still do.

I have seen fights in churches over how high or low the thermostat is set on. In Montana when I walked up a hill in the freezing cold to hear the word of God was my most memorable.
The Saints before us suffered much discomfort to the point of death for the Word of God. I can see how the word of God brings comfort when we are the most uncomfortable. The scenes of Jesus must have been amazing , we have those scenes for concerts , sports events and much more but we like our thermostat set just right on Sunday. To be able to tune out discomfort and focus on God is a level of love Jesus showed us.

Immediately the thought came that no one dreamed that would happen and we never know our last day on earth...I pray my last words before God takes me home are His...

This morning I meditate over:

1 Corinthians 13

New King James Version (NKJV)

4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

8 Love never fails

I am reading the Bible in order and I never know what awaits in that Great Book. Today , God knew what I needed before I did. I am not one that can quote Leviticus 26. I admire people who can pull exact verses out of their pockets . I learn something new every time I open that book, even the ones I have read over and over. We have placed much importance memorizing the Bible, but that is not a gift God gave me.

Today God knew I needed Leviticus 26 , I wept at what was in it for me today. We live in a strange time right now. People are all over the place with religion and even mixes all religions into one happy one. When I read this chapter I could see why Jesus told us to only fear One...Luke 12:5
God is the God in Leviticus 26 , He spent much time to show us Who He is in the first part of the Bible . He showed that we needed Jesus to be able come to Him. We would have never made the whole scene in that chapter , that is some scary stuff.
We have cheapened the Cross to the point of making it a get out of jail free card. I read that chapter to understand why Jesus tells us in John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Jesus and the Cross shows us many things, but one is the cost to “cometh unto the Father . “Jesus came faced all and more on earth that we face and did not sin. That is Who we strive to be until we die. I know the more I love God the more I want no part in sin. I will sin until I die no matter how much I love Him .

Jesus shows us we a mess everyday, I know I am. The Cross made a path for us” to cometh to the Father, “ the Father in Leviticus 26...Read that chapter and understand why Jesus suffered and died for us, why this world is His threshing floor. If we read the Bible any other way than the first part showing us Who God is and the last part why we need Jesus , we lose the whole message...
