The labor and bleeding have stopped, and they have discharged my daughter from the hospital. They have given her the maximum of a drug to stop her labor, that is allowed in a 24 hour time frame.If she goes into labor again before tomorrow morning, there is no way to stop it.
She feels awful, to say the least. Her back is still hurting, and she generally feels sick.The shots to stop the labor were very painful. She said she had a terrible burning feeling for about 15 minutes after each shot.
She is supposed to rest, and not do a blasted thing.
I have left my gates open to my driveway, as I got to be prepared to take her to the hospital quickly,if needed.
The baby looks healthy, and his vitals are good.He is small. They estimate him at 2.6 pounds right now, which is small for this stage of pregnancy.But, OTOH, all of us are petite, so this doesn't really bother the medical staff. All of us have small babies too, around 6 pounds full term.

I am exhausted.
