My Sheba has kidney failure, and we are taking it one day at a time. I put her on a home cooked dog food regimen, and she is doing pretty good.Sheba is 14.

I use to skip over this stuff till the Lord has me read it with The Cross always on the page, it shows how big The Sacrifice was and what it did for us, God knew we could not keep all this, we can not even keep 10 Commands

Numbers 21 once again reminds us where doubting God and wanting the past can get us. There have been many cults that use this passage , but we stay in enough trouble without tempting God. This chapter and chapter 20 shows us God keeps His promises as with Edom. The people complained because going around Edom was long and hard.

Matthew 713 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

This life is hard and difficult but this life is not what we long for. Those people longed for the promised land and so do we., we are in the wilderness .
This gave me some peace today as going around Edom is what we are doing and it is long and hard. The last verse in chapter 21 shows us this , 35 So they defeated him, his sons, and all his people, until there was no survivor left him; and they took possession of his land.
They had Moses we have Jesus to take us to the Promise Land cry out to Him when in times of trouble ...Come Lord Jesus Come...

So Moses made a bronze serpent, and put it on a pole; and so it was, if a serpent had bitten anyone, when he looked at the bronze serpent, he lived.

Update. Thank you all, you don’t know what it means to me that someone cares about this girl who has forever changed my life. Cuds had a small bowel movement last night, very dry and today she had a bigger one that was more normal so I was happy with that. She also is eating better, still not all the way there but she’s eating good today. Still working on her gait though, long way to go there but she did walk around assisted last night at her favorite spot. She’s a bit lower energy than normal still but she has been on a med for nausea for a couple days but that ends tomorrow. So two of her three issues have improved, really glad she’s had a normal movement. Just hoping she’ll become steadier on her feet, brighten up some and continue eating her favorite things. And yes we went for a nice drive today and a few stops and she seemed to enjoy them all, she ate some roast beef from Arby’s... Thank you all and I hope God will protect you and you’ll have a blessed life.

Every day I pray that earth angels will help those in need that have nowhere to turn, the sick, the hungry, the elderly, the young. I hope one day I can be that angel for someone . I’ve done some good deeds but I’d like to do much more.

GREAT NEWS! We know there are animals in heaven because Jesus comes back riding a horse - Eagles, Lions, you name it! God, in his great love and wisdom has created heaven to be a place of perfect happiness. I am sure that if you need Cuddles with you - She will be there.

In the name of Jesus we pray life and healing into Cuddles, that although not made in God's image - The spirit of life still resides within.

With God, all things are possible.

Numbers 22 is one of my favorite stories in the Bible and there is so much in that story , I can read it over and over and see something new each time.

This is the first mention of Balaam , a man that had an open line of communication with God and many knew this. Nations of people had been hearing about the people God brought out of Egypt and they feared them. Verse 7 , So the elders of Moab and the elders of Midian departed with the diviner’s fee in their hand, and they came to Balaam and spoke to him the words of Balak .

They wanted Balaam to talk to God and ask that the Israelis be cursed.
Then God ask Balaam this, 9Then God came to Balaam and said, “Who are these men with you?”
A people that did not know God is the answer.

We see Balaam is obedient up to this point and tells them God will not help them, that these people are blessed.
Once again Balak sent more offerings and Balaam explains this, 18 Then Balaam answered and said to the servants of Balak, “Though Balak were to give me his house full of silver and gold, I could not go beyond the word of the Lord my God, to do less or more.

Balaam explains he will ask God again if there is an answer for these people afraid of the Israelis.
Here is what we all need to learn from God gives these instructions to Balaam, 20 And God came to Balaam at night and said to him, “If the men come to call you, rise and go with them; but only the word which I speak to you that you shall do.”

If the men come to him, I learned long ago tiny words with God are the very important like “if;”
Balaam went without waiting to see if the men would come back , how many times have we all done this.

Here is my favorite part of the story except the abuse done to the donkey. Verse 22Then God’s anger was aroused because he went, and the Angel of the Lord took His stand in the way as an adversary against him. And he was riding on his donkey, and his two servants were with him. 23 Now the donkey saw the Angel of the Lord standing in the way with His drawn sword in His hand, and the donkey turned aside out of the way and went into the field.

Just wow , first the donkey saw the Angel and Balaam did not. Animals have always listened to God better than people , look at Noah and the Ark. All those animals listening to God and coming to the Ark is just amazing to me.

Balaam was cruel to his faithful donkey and did not stop and question why the donkey was acting different . He had in his head what he wanted and nothing was going to get in his way hummmmm, I know this part well do you.
28Then the Lord opened the mouth of the donkey, and she said to Balaam, “What have I done to you, that you have struck me these three times?”

I love, love , love this , what is more amazing is whatever the life of Balaam was , he not surprised the donkey spoke.
Verse 29And Balaam said to the donkey, “Because you have abused me. I wish there were a sword in my hand, for now I would kill you!”

Balaam only listened to God up to a point and we like Balaam add or take away the rest.
Then The Lord opened Balaams eyes to see the Angel the donkey had seen. Then what is next has Jesus all over it , 34And Balaam said to the Angel of the Lord, “I have sinned, for I did not know You stood in the way against me. Now therefore, if it displeases You, I will turn back.”
We can see why God used Balaam , when he saw the error of his way he was willing to turn back.

I can not wait for Numbers 23 , but what we can take away in this story is this . Listen to God and detail matters . God can use not only a donkey to speak for Him but anything He wants...We have a hard time believing this, but Balaam and the people before us understood God uses nature, His creations daily...Luke 7:22, Psalm 78:38, Acts 26:18

Was just reminded in this story , Balaam talked to God and received messages but his eyes where not open to the Spirit till God opened them

Please lift a prayer and your hearts today for all those dealing with depression, anxiety, drug addiction, and a sense of isolation. Please pray that their hearts open up to God and allow the healing to begin. In Jesus' name.
