UPDATE:

Well, my heat is working once again on both floors. Husband fortified himself with beer, talked to another furnace guy, and finally got it going all the way, but not before we had another disaster. Turns out the guy who put the pump in didn't do it the right way to get the pressure tank working. This is why the water would not go up to the 2nd floor.

So, my husband used his brothers compressor after draining the entire system again, to pressurize the tank.He then turned the water back on. Well, a few minutes later, we had Niagra Falls in my basement. Water was pouring down from the finished ceiling, all over my washing machine, us, and everything else.
We both ran to the second floor from the basement, as we suspected a pipe may have burst when he pressurized the system. The second floor was dry. We went down to the first floor, couldn't see anything right away, but I heard water gushing.I looked in the bedroom. My bedroom was full of water. Water was shooting out of the radiator valve that my @$$ of a husband forgot to close. There was a couple of inches of water covering my hardwood floors. All my throw rugs and everything by the gushing radiator was soaking wet, including my husbands clean laundry that he piled on the floor next to the wall by the radiator, instead of putting them away in his chest of drawers.Lazy Polak !!! GRRRR.

So, my soaking wet throw rugs have to be washed and dried, but the heck with his clothes.I hope my washer still works. I will find out after it dries out, and plug it back in tomorrow. I soaked up the water, and the hardwood floors look dry, but now I got to worry if they will start to warp because of the water.GRRRR.

So, me who doesn't touch alcohol, grabbed a 20 year old bottle of Kahlua, mixed some of it with milk and slugged it down. Husband pressed his luck again, as he said to me as I had the ONE AND ONLY drink "It's about time you had a drink". GRRRRR.

The new furnace guy who was supposed to come to our house tomorrow, will be going to my daughter's house instead, to try to get her heat working.

I will update you on my daughters furnace situation.I sure hope it is fixable and cheap. As for my washing machine, if my husband ruined it, he had better replace it quick !!! GRRR

Prayers needed for all of us.
