I think of Moses often now and while we know he will not cross the Jordan , we know we serve a forgiving God and Moses is seen again speaking to Jesus , Luke 9:29 And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.30 And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias:31 Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.
Quoting: Goofy for God In church I was meditating on the transfiguration of Christ and His revelation as to who He really was and is, and the appearance of Moses and Elijah at His side during this event. Then I thought about the often spoken of 'two witnesses' and the sometimes heated discussions about who they could be and how they would appear during the end times. The apostles offered to make tents for them, not fully understanding the vision before them. Do we fully understand the signs when we witness them? We thank Christ for this tremendous revelation and vision and I fully believe we will witness this event again at the end of times. Quoting: -Haun- The other part of the Transfiguration that folks don't relize is that it showed a "prelude" to Jesus' appearance after He was risen by the Father. In other words, it showed that a person who believed, repented, and did the Father's Will would receive everlasting life. Moses definitely repented several times. It would not surprise me that Elijah had repented before leaving Mt. Horeb in 1 Kings 19.
