Deuteronomy 12 is full of messages. God is still giving His instructions before they cross over the Jordan. We have instructions as well when we cross over to follow Jesus. We see God reminds them and us that He has zero tolerance for little gods or any type of worship other than Him. Verse 4 You shall not worship the Lord your God with such things.

When I read that passage it reminded me of when I walked into what was suppose to be Christian building and the first thing I saw was a prayer room for another god. I love these verses , 8 “You shall not at all do as we are doing here today—every man doing whatever is right in his own eye 9 for as yet you have not come to the rest and the inheritance which the Lord your God is giving you.

Jesus is all over this as our inheritance is found in what He did for us. Once we hear God's voice and listen we should not do whatever we want , we have a manual to follow and should know it better than anything Book on the planet, better than any rules we have to live by. To be able pass a test better than any test we take on earth and make an A, I would say 100 but we are flawed in these human bodies.

I thank Jesus I do not have to do those bloody sacrifices. We are about to enjoy Thanksgiving and we set our tables up a certain way and eat certain foods. We see in this chapter God has His own way to eat and where to eat. I have always thought about God and food , He loves certain aromas and foods. I am with Him on the no blood , many order their steaks rare ,I can not even look at blood without getting queasy.

We see the Cross in verse 23, Only be sure that you do not eat the blood, for the blood is the life; you may not eat the life with the meat, read all of 1 John 5.
This chapter is strong on what to do with little gods and idols.

When we bought the 1893 home to restore I found a very old Ouija board and I find it interesting even when I was not following God as I should, the Holy Spirit said get rid of it and I did even though I had many saying that was dumb. God knows better than we do and if you do not think those things have evil power , ask why God says to destroy and have nothing to do with them over and over.
The very last verse is very important 32“Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it.

Revelation 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
We know many have added and took away from the only Book we needed to follow God. We can not agree on this Book as we where called to do, that is why so many denominations. This was God's first church and after the Cross His words did not change.

1 Corinthians 1: 10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
He is showing us this strong since Harvey, if we will listen and let go of generations of adding and taking away and not agreeing...We preach hard against the Pharisees, but we are no different.

You're right, we aren't much different than them. In many ways we are worse because we have deliberately and consciously driven God out of our lands. Then we bemoan and "bitch" as LS says that our society is chaotic, full of wrong-thinking, and we are lost.

I'm 31, and become addicted to certain things. let us leave it at that. what if I were to say I worship Satan because I live in sin knowingly? for I know what I do is wrong and I am a utter disgrace to God, and perhaps I have been given a small glimpse of knowledge of the true nature of the earth, and this is being hidden from most of the world. this would mean the deception of the world is so great, or perhaps I'm becoming very delusional. I continue to question my sanity if this is true, and I'm to cowardly to even say what I'm talking about. you can walk a path knowing you're going to walk off a cliff in the end, and choose such a option as I have. I cannot blame Satan, demons, or anyone for what I am. I am truly without excuse. for that condemnation shall come onto me in due time. and I'm afraid most people of the world walk this path that will lead to destruction in the end, Not caring how Holy and Pure God truly is.

Deuteronomy 13 is showing us again we are to have nothing to do with anything that is not of God.
“If there arises among you a prophet or a dreamer of dreams, and he gives you a sign or a wonder, 2 and the sign or the wonder comes to pass, of which he spoke to you, saying, ‘Let us go after other gods’—which you have not known—‘and let us serve them,’ 3 you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams, for the Lord your God is testing you to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

If we ever doubted God is in charge of everything and if we are tested , then this passage will blow you away and shows us many things.
King James words this way , for the Lord your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul,( to test ...)That passage shows us everything is in His control...

This chapter and the entire beginning of the Bible before Jesus , shows us killing , destroying people or things , never gets rid of the enemy or the evil that is why we have Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

Jesus is all over this passage...
Deuteronomy 13:6 “If your brother, the son of your mother, your son or your daughter, the wife of your bosom, or your friend who is as your own soul, secretly entices you, saying, ‘Let us go and serve other gods,’ which you have not known, neither you nor your fathers, 7 of the gods of the people which are all around you, near to you or far off from you, from one end of the earth to the other end of the earth, 8 you shall not consent to him or listen to him, nor shall your eye pity him, nor shall you spare him or conceal him;

Matthew 12: 48But He answered and said to the one who told Him, “Who is My mother and who are My brothers?” 49And He stretched out His hand toward His disciples and said, “Here are My mother and My brothers! 50For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.”

The hardest thing to do in this life is to have nothing to do with someone we love, in our family that is on the dark side of this life. I once a relative that I cared for and for a short time she went to things like tarot cards , voodoo dolls and God said run have nothing to do with her . She did not talk to me for a very long time but later in life she found true Salvation.

I look at this chapter and thank God when I was walking wild and tasted much sin, He always kept me from fortune tellers and people spoken of in this chapter. I now understand better why He did this.

The entire Bible is given to show us we live on the testing grounds called earth. We have one enemy that uses things seen but we do not see him and his evil fallen angels. Jesus spent much time casting out demons. I without doubt know the shooter last Sunday had a legion, but we leave this part of Jesus out and that is why evil takes over in last days . Locking up and medications was never the answer.
We are here for God's purpose, inside a Spiritual battle. Read the Bible daily , ask God to show you something new each time.
Study and pass the only test that really matters...Ephesians 6 is what we are to use daily.
Matthew 6:13And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

God was clear on this matter in Deuteronomy and Jesus is clear on this matter in Matthew, what this life is about.

I'm very glad you posted this because I am deeply concerned about the number of popular television programs that promote these very things you mention, such as satanism, voodoo, fortune telling, the use of the Ouija board etc. all in the pursuit of talking to "ghosts". They are competing with each other and going to such extremes to capture the perfect recording of a spirit. I have seen crucifixes and bibles used in some segments to anger the spirits in a provocative and suggestive manner.

Some of their viewers are still children or young adults who are easily manipulated and open to such suggestions. We knew this time was coming and we are in the thick of it.

I don't associate with anyone who delves into those practices or uses the board. Your biblical verses are perfect for us all and a reminder to protect ourselves and loved ones from these influences that are so popular today.

Simple Daily Faith

Repent to God the Father for your sins
Give thanks for daily blessings...regardless of how simple / "ordinary" they may seem
Love others and forgive them as necessary
Pray for others and help them if possible
Read the Bible and ask Jesus or the Father for guidance concerning it
Pray / ask the Father to show HIS WILL for you to do
Trust in the Father and the Son fully

Last night, after watching a movie that featured demons and even the devil, there was not ONE single instance / reference to God, Jesus, Faith / Belief nor even angels / divine / good warriors.



I was given to realize that there are dozens of similar movies out there...and I'm not talking about your basic zombie movies, but ones with actual demons / evil spirits / satanic acts etc...

...but NO GOD etc...?

It's like they are teaching that there's only EVIL beings...and no DIVINE beings.

AND no REASON for hope etc...
