I try and always read and pray before I write. This morning I skipped going to God first and went to Luke 10 to the story about the good Samaritan. As I wrote it did not feel right, so I stopped and went as I should have in the first place , on my knees and ask Him. Quoting: Goofy for God I do not have chapters of the Bible memorized, I have to go to It as a child almost everyday. After I prayed I opened my Bible to Luke 17 and as I read , I got upset I was in wrong chapter or was I???That is what God does if we allow. Sure in Luke 10 that story has many messages about helping , but God knew what I needed so He sent me to . Luke 17:10 So likewise you, when you have done all those things which you are commanded, say, ‘We are unprofitable servants. We have done what was our duty to do.’” It made me cry when I read, “say, ‘We are unprofitable servants. We have done what was our duty to do.’” That was going to be my message and God knew that. When people thank us for anything we have to remember and remind them we do nothing , we are only vessels for God... Psalm 16:2 O my soul, you have said to the Lord,“You are my Lord, My goodness is nothing apart from You.” Never take glory for helping someone , helping is our duty but has nothing to do with us or the one we help , but for the Glory of God... There will be people that never even say thank you and even expect help , there will be people that want to pay us back , there will be people that we want to help more because they have power over us. Be careful , help all with the same thought in mind , WHO and WHY... Do not help expecting even a thank you , do not help expecting reciprocation , do not help to find favor , do not help for any reason other than what Glory it will bring to God...When a person says thank you reply with , “‘We are unprofitable servants.” It is our duty... Romans 3:12They have all turned aside;They have together become unprofitable;There is none who does good, no, not one. It is your duty to do that which is right but it our right also to give a big Thank you for doing your duty. I knew it was coming, as the oil change place told me my battery was going down.Yesterday it gave me a little trouble starting, but today it didn't want to start at all. I prayed, asking God to please let it start and keep running until I got the donations dropped off to 2 different churches,and to take my friend Millie, a sweet lady in her 80's, a ride to the food pantry that she runs at one of my donation drop off stops. My truck started. I dropped off the first load to the Methodist church clothing bank and food pantry. I was leery, but trusted in God as I shut the truck off, and proceeded to unload the bagful's of clothing and bedding there.I went back out to my truck, and it started. I pulled up to Millie's house, but decided I should not press my luck and shut it off again. Millie was waiting for me at her door. I told her I really couldn't shut the truck off, as it just might not start again(woe to me of little faith). I help Millie load her paperwork for the food pantry and her bags of things into my truck, and then we were off to her church, where she runs the food pantry.I left the truck running, and we unloaded it, and then I went home to get some money for the battery. I shut the truck off when I got home, and it started again when I went to the oil change place to get the battery. So, things are good for now with my truck, even though I had a flat tire and the battery went out this week, and the husband is still not so nice. God is good !!! He heard my cries for help, as Millie depends on me to get her to her church food pantry. The donations were very needed at both places, and had to get there, especially the coats for the poor and homeless. I sorta can feel what Peter went through when he tried to walk on the water to meet Jesus. He was doing OK, and then lost his faith for a second and started to slip under the water, but Jesus grabbed him and pulled him up. Jesus pulled me up today. Thank You Jesus !!! Praise God from Whom all Blessings flow !!! |

Have you ever been called a Jesus freak or called someone that? Have you ever said or heard I just want this or that without it being about God? I have and most of us have. It is very clear in Scriptures to not want anything this world offers that is not of God but is of the ruler of this world and we are to have nothing to do with it. John 14:30Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me. I never understood the verse below till the last several years of being a mini Job. 1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. If we do not hate this world or the things in it that are not about God , then understand that is of satan. We are being luke warm when we want both and we do not want to be lukewarm. Revelation 3:16So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Our lives have nothing to do with this life but the next...Sometimes when we don't get this , God will allow us to Job or have the things of this world and that is not fun place to go... This world He created for us to find only Him, in a sea of things not of Him...It is hard being human we want to like and be liked . It is ok to be hated by the darkness of this world , to called a Jesus freak... Jesus says in John 15 :18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. |

There are no coincidences in God's Kingdom of who was there that day. We do not know if anyone loved that thief other than Jesus. Jesus told us this in Luke6: 32 “If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them. Love is what Jesus and the thief shared. A thief takes what does not belong to them. Jesus gave what none of us deserve. If we only love people that love us and act like we want , WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT LOVE IS, OR WHAT THE CROSS WAS ABOUT... In many ways we all thieves... Everyone of us has a thief on the Cross in our lives. Everyone of us has the mocker in our lives. There where two others with Jesus that day and there is a strong message in those mens lives. When Jesus explains this in Matthew 24:40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left, we can see the Cross. One was taken and one was left , never stop praying or loving the thief in our lives ... Maybe God has that thief there to see if we understand Luke 6:32 and what real love is...Maybe you are the only one in that persons life that really cares, really knows what love is... |

That is sorta how my 1983 Buick Electra Park Avenue was. It literally fell apart 2 blocks from my home, right by the high school.The back frame and the bumper literally fell off. I had got rear ended by a big Chevy SUV a few years before, and could not find a back frame and other parts needed to fix it. The body shop felt so bad for me, as I was bawling my eyes out, they pulled the back bumper and the bent frame out enough so I could drive it,and did not charge me a penny to get me back on the road. May God Bless them for their kindness, as it gave me a few more years of driving that Buick.God is Good !!! Praise God from Whom all Blessings flow !!! |

I help Millie load her paperwork for the food pantry and her bags of things into my truck, and then we were off to her church, where she runs the food pantry.I left the truck running, and we unloaded it, and then I went home to get some money for the battery. I shut the truck off when I got home, and it started again when I went to the oil change place to get the battery. So, things are good for now with my truck, even though I had a flat tire and the battery went out this week, and the husband is still not so nice. God is good !!! He heard my cries for help, as Millie depends on me to get her to her church food pantry. The donations were very needed at both places, and had to get there, especially the coats for the poor and homeless. I sorta can feel what Peter went through when he tried to walk on the water to meet Jesus. He was doing OK, and then lost his faith for a second and started to slip under the water, but Jesus grabbed him and pulled him up. Jesus pulled me up today. Thank You Jesus !!! We love you Tiger and thanks for sharing your story. I know without doubt God has auto techs that keep watch over us... God is with us, always !!! AMEN!!!
