This one need our prayers

Joshua 21 we see Suburbs are created . In America we have many of these, we created them to flee the big cities and try and get the small feel of community back. When things get to big from cities to business they can lose what the beginning was about .
God created the first Suburb but then God is the Creator. Suburbs in America did not work out as well as planned. People still have to drive to the inner city to earn income and then by the time they get home all they have time for is rest.
Joshua 21:2 And they spoke to them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, “The Lord commanded through Moses to give us cities to dwell in, with their common-lands for our livestock.”
Looking at these Suburbs in Joshua we see what God had set up was amazing. How the people obeyed is amazing as well.

Joshua 18:7
But the Levites have no part among you; for the priesthood of the Lord is their inheritance: and Gad, and Reuben, and half the tribe of Manasseh, have received their inheritance beyond Jordan on the east, which Moses the servant of the Lord gave them.

Forty Eight cities for the priesthood of the Lord was given.
Hebrews 5:4 And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron.

We have become scattered and divided since this. The world is so blended that we can see the Word of God and the word of other religions sharing the same buildings , cities and land.

When God set this up , this was a land only He could be found...Jesus tells us we where to do this, Matthew 10:14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.

I only have to drive to any city in America to see we look no different than the places the people of Israel left , before entering the Promise Land.

Last verse 45 , Not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass.

God's word is true and does not fail. We in these times where the 48 cities can not be found. His Word and His Promise still to Come as in ...Matthew 24 :30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

God knew the end in the beginning. God gave us all we needed even the end of the story but we left the Garden and the Promise Land for what was on the other side of the river...We have lost what the Beginning was about...

So Israel, in it's current location, is the known/accepted Biblical location for the land God told the chosen people? And you're right with Jerusalem....Mosques built over Church's and Synagogues... Major major places like "THE" Temple now covered in Gold... Basically just took our oldest and original locations and renamed it something Muslim and control them...

That's not.. Fair. At all. Imagine if a bunch of Christians guarded Mecca and were the only "key holders" dating back thousands of years because of some man made law/treaty (How the Church of Holy Sepulchre is opened and closed daily by some prominent Muslim family)

Just feels... As if we lost a personal connection to physical location of Jesus...

Jesus made us the location , nothing else on earth , we are the Temple and we are in the days God told us we would be in.

When I went to a christian hospital and the first thing I saw was a muslim prayer room I knew ...

In my journey I always used data to cloud my judgment... Look at all these other God's in the area whom are born Dec 25th and 12 this and 33 that and called the King of Kings! /etc etc Jesusisntrealtimeofmylife

I understand this is not the true day of birth. However, it is when my local society/town/family/culture does celebrate his birth. So I celebrate his birth. I like that it's cold and bright lights and gifts.

Rituals are important, in my opinion.

I'm not sure about Easter why it rotated..... So then I learn it's the first Sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox.

But now I just want to Celebrate his resurrection and if chocolate eggs keep my son involved with me while talking about God... I don't mind.

Update on the church situation.
I officially joined another church, the one I have been attending the last few Sundays. It all hit me today when I was at the Divine Liturgy.I felt such a sense of peace and comfort, and knew I was at home, spiritually.
After I left there, I went back to my former church to tell the pastor in person that I had joined another church and would not be back.I was not going to do a quick phone message, as I think that is a cop-out.
So, I have gone from Byzantine Catholic to Orthodox. This is where my heart is at, and is where I will stay. I am so happy to hear the Word of God and a real sermon from the pastor of my new church home.My former church lost it's path, and I had no choice but to leave.
Thank you all for the prayers for me on this spiritual journey to find my new church home !!!

It was refreshing to hear the Pastor give his sermon that is the real deal instead of all the politically correct and other garbage being doled out.

Joshua 22 part one ,what a absolute beautiful way to end ones life. Verse 2 and said to them: You have kept all that Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, and have obeyed my voice in all that I commanded you.
5 But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the Lord charged you, to love the Lord your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.6 So Joshua blessed them, and sent them away: and they went unto their tents.

What a powerful message , they did it , they did all that God commanded. What a motivation for us all, but it comes with a warning to stay the course.

Jesus told us the same thing over and over … Luke 10:27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbor as thyself.

Leviticus 19:34 But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.


Nothing changed, if we can follow that one command , then the others are doable... That is what we long for, to hear those words and rest in our tents... We live a time where do not not make Joshua our role model , tell your children, they kept all, a tiny word but very powerful...

Matthew 25:23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.

In the UK churches were built on top of what were Pagan sites, so Christians also took over some of their rituals. I have seen many CHRISTmas trees in churches at Christmas time.
