Thread: Know What Love Looks Like and Feels Like!!! Genesis 24

Our God is a breaker of Chains - Please Lord, Mike, a husband of a fellow member of this society, be healed with the aide of our prayers - for it is not us doing the healing - only The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit understand the nature - yet we, as believers, send our prayers up in abundance, asking for abundance - and that our faith is so strong we eagerly await the updates on Mike's recovery. For you do not bring pain LORD, only Joy and Love.

Here is the easiest way I've found to NOT STRAY / be manipulated.

Simple Daily Faith

Repent to God the Father for your sins
Give thanks for daily blessings...regardless of how simple / "ordinary" they may seem
Love others and forgive them as necessary
Pray for others and help them if possible
Read the Bible and ask Jesus or the Father for guidance concerning it
Pray / ask the Father to show HIS WILL for you to do
Trust in the Father and the Son fully

Yes ! Please make a prayer thread ! I have not had an update from Silver Patriot, as yet. I did leave her an email message. I just got home, and will call her later this afternoon.

Praying for Mike

For those who are in need

One day at a time my friend. You can do this!

I just got off the phone with Silver Patriot. Her husband has had some improvement after the stroke yesterday morning. I will post all updates on the thread Goofy started for Mike.

Dear Heavenly Father , we ask the next 24 hours WA get all better , with Peppermint Oil and Your healing hands and this sickness not return in Jesus name amen, love to all

I wish to give a heart-felt thank you for everyone who has prayed for my husband after his stroke between 3:30-4:00 Saturday morning. Thankfully, I was in the dining room taking a couple antacids, heard my husband fumbling around in the bathroom, and went to see what was wrong.

My husband had removed all his clothes and responded to my question with gibberish I knew immediately he was having stroke he needed to be taken to the hospital immediately thus called 911 for an ambulance.

After trying to dress him, the pants were easy but his shirt was a challenge he could not control his right arm so his shirt and jacket was placed on his left arm across his back only with another jacket covering his front.

Before leaving to bring our 4X4 Pathfinder to the door, I put his right boot on three times each time he promptly removed the boot. When starting the Pathfinder one cop showed up he helped me get Mike to my vehicle and the snoopy cop being a cop wanted me to put my giant breed dogs one a hostile Anatolian Shepherd in another area so he could come inside.

Time was of the essence and simply replied to him no time for your games my husband is having a stroke. By that time, six more useless police and state troupers were in front of our house then five or more volunteer firemen who were far more useful than the police was and state troupers were as they gave him oxygen and started monitoring his vitals but still no ambulance.

Finally said close the door I will take him to the hospital when the ambulance finally arrived and once more a volunteer fireman EMT helped me put Mike’s boot back on and he promptly took it off again.

Note: the side impacted by the stroke is numb and does not feel right to the victim and they will fight against the unfamiliar sensations but you have to proceed with your plan even if fools are attempting to control and derail your goals.

In spite of CPR training through the years when such a situation occurs, you have to have a plan and mine was to get my husband to a hospital ASAP with or without a tardy ambulance.

By the end of this very long day, I sat down and cried before e-mailing Tiger1 to let her know what was going on for me it was a difficult day.

Mike has a long road ahead of him but thankfully, for all your prayers he has made progress without medical intervention.

When I told Mike that people he did not know were praying for him, he cried and kept saying thank you as do I.

Thank you sincerely.

Just read Just read Silver Patriots posts and was nearly in tears.

I feel a fighting spirit there.

udges 11 is full of wisdom. They and we can be judgmental and decide who should be able to do what.
We are no different than Gilead’s sons, we do not ask God but go by our man made standards. We as them can toss God and people away unless we need them. Unless we are part of a certain group you are not in, so to speak, our churches are guilty of this as well. When Ammon made war against Israel the people did not go to God first they ran to the man they had just kicked out and excluded from the the chosen group.

Verse 9 So Jephthah said to the elders of Gilead, “If you take me back home to fight against the people of Ammon, and the Lord delivers them to me, shall I be your head?”

“The Lord delivers them,” is our first clue there is someone that still gets it, Who delivers who.


I like Jephthah , he first does this in verse 12 Now Jephthah sent messengers to the king of the people of Ammon, saying, “What do you have against me, that you have come to fight against me in my land?”

Jephthah knew his history and we get a history lesson. Verse 29 Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jephthah, and he passed through Gilead and Manasseh, and passed through Mizpah of Gilead; and from Mizpah of Gilead he advanced toward the people of Ammon. 30 And Jephthah made a vow to the Lord , and said, “If You will indeed deliver the people of Ammon into my hands, 31 then it will be that whatever comes out of the doors of my house to meet me, when I return in peace from the people of Ammon, shall surely be the Lord's , and I will offer it up as a burnt offering.”

The Spirit of the Lord came upon Jephthah and he makes a vow. We have just left Judges 10 where God is so upset He says “13Therefore I will deliver you no more. 14“Go and cry out to the gods which you have chosen; let them deliver you in your time of distress.”

Jephthah knows his history , remember and we know story after story people forget Who God is but Jephthah had not. Vows start with Jacob in Genesis.
Leviticus 27:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When a man shall make a singular vow, the persons shall be for the Lord by thy estimation.

Not sure what was on Jephthah heart or mind but the Spirit was on him. We know he is one of the few that still had faith in God and knew Who delivers.
Jephthah's only child came out of those doors. I would have loved story time in this mans house as a child. We can see his only child , a daughter knows and loves God as well. She tells her father to do as he vowed.
Verse 37 And she said unto her father, Let this thing be done for me: let me alone two months, that I may go up and down upon the mountains, and bewail my virginity, I and my fellows.

Jephthah would see no grandchildren , his daughter was given back to God. I can not wait to meet these two...Since God knows all things and Jephthah's mother was a strange women and there are no coincidences in God's plans , then God ended this line and His will was done. Great Story , Praise God...

I have not been inspired writing today about New Years. We do and make all kinds of commitments this day. I remember some of mine in the past.

New Year is not in Scriptures or how to celebrate because Jesus taught us to live day to day. There is always a list of top 10 resolutions, losing weight and making more money are always in that list.
No matter what you do or say, make God number one on the list. If we make God number one on the list, then the rest of the list is easier.

Happy January 1st and may God help us with all our needs , each day He allows after...

I probably post this list too much...I pray no one gets tired of seeing it though.
