Daily Prayer Thread !!!Plus The Word

Hey everyone -

I started drinking again... and it's... once I start it just... 10am, start, stop when I pass out, repeat - I don't get sloppy until later in the evening.. but it isn't healthy to drink a litre of rum or vodka a day... don't understand why... I'm going to try and do a "Daniel Fast" 72 hours of just fruits and water.... get me to stop before I have to go into a detox, please pray, love to all.

Let me clarify that this isn't like smoking crack or all of a sudden I'm walking around in torn clothes slapping women -- It's just, now in public I carry a giant bottle of gatoraide, that's half rum and half diet cranberry - and like I said I'm good until about 7/8pm is when I"ve been told I start to "look like I've had a few drinks" - for some reason I can put a lot of alcohol into myself... and then I start abusing my ADD meds, but listen - it's not like 911 emergency... It's just... a battle for me... so no panic... just...prayers.

I will pray today especially at 10:00 AM that your urge to drink will pass and that your Daniel Fast is successful. It might help if you begin reading the Book of Daniel when you begin your fast. This is something you can own and control with Christ's help. Pray while you fast, from the heart, for the Holy Spirit to help uplift you today.

I will pray for you today and everyday. God bless and be with you.

Keep strong Intercessor. You have a child to consider, and a wife. I had a friend who had an alcohol problem and she said it was like having an interloper within her. If you have one, try and cut the chords.

4pm and I haven't drank.... only water and pineapple and two apples so far.... Helping wife clean house while baby is at Grandma's... It's the first two days after a week or two long drink-fest that's the worst... as I said, it's not... as if I'm a monster... In fact, I think my wife has said me "laughing at everything is the worst part" at night... and "if we could bottle you sometime in the late afternoon and keep you that way it'd be perfect" -

So far so good. I won't burden you with hourly updates... just... so far, so good... if I keep going I know my body and usually dry out in a center... and can't do that anymore.... I had a two night sleep up a few months ago and posted on here.... and it's odd, I stopped posting on this thread daily and I started drinking... I stopped reading my morning daily bread and what's posted on this thread by GFG.... So life's good. God is Good. Jesus is amazing. The weather is 62 degrees in Florida. It's just beautiful out.

Keep up the good work Intercessor (now known as Theosis)! I have faith in you and you have my prayers.

Throw the booze away. Let God fill that void deep in your soul, and heal your bruised spirit.You have to let go, and let God take over. He will not fail you, my friend !

I chose the name Theosis because I enjoy everything it stands for:

It isn't becoming "one like God" -

It's living life in perfect harmony with God.

and that, in some "Orthodox" beliefs, is the ultimate goal in life. Thru Jesus live a life where you are not only saved, but everything you do is in accordance and belief with God. Good - Bad - Death - If you walk it out and continually, "Did Jesus tell me this is what God does?" If yes, do it. If no, don't do it.

So that is so appealing to me..

Theosis is very much the purpose of human life. It is considered achievable only through a synergy (or cooperation) between human activity and God's uncreated energies.


It makes sense to me.

Also, let me say this. I watched an amazing documentary on Youtube about the history of... The Holy Land? Did you know the first man to do archaeology (it is only a 150 year old science) in Jerusalem literally wore a tu-tu in order to measure the Pyramids? So then he was able to work in the Holy Land and people called him crazy and left him alone... Eastern culture treats "odd" and "lunatics" differently than western.... Eastern has more of a "society takes care of it" on a more personal level.

So this man was odd, did weird stuff - and he measured, and took notes...

In my opinion -

That was all a sham! It was the only way for him to actually DO these things. Was to put on this image -

and I find it amazing he was 50 years ahead of "science" and reading his works/what the TV showed me (heh) was just really... Interesting what he discovered.

That man reached his Theosis - right? I think we can say that about people we revere - it's as if... they "did it" - and even people with no names - those Professors at Universities, those Doctors in hospitals... the people that are just at the top of the top (in my mind) - haved reached a higher Theosis. "Doctor was my calling" - God agrees - walks out with God path to becoming Doctor - becomes Doctor.

It's... so simple yet so complex. So yes, that is why the name Theosis appealed to me. It also... well, sounds cool.

I couldn't sleep so my wife started playing up-beat worship music while I sweat it out.

You think this stuff is a joke? It's freaking.... evil, attacking you - God doesn't make junkies or drunks... whew, front lines on the addiction front if you want to see demons.

She said "Ok Google, Play Funky Jesus Music on Daddy TV"

and suddenly the TV just lit up and I started smiling.

It's the small things.

1 Samuel 2 , I will do in two parts because the song Hannah sings needs to stand alone.

1 And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the Lord , mine horn is exalted in the Lord : my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation.
2 There is none holy as the Lord : for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.

Part 2
I am sad to leave the story of Hannah. She is someone I would have like to hang out with. I have been told not everything is about God many times or you need to stop reading that Bible. God has placed some Hannah's in my life since I was a child and I am thankful for that.
The few pages we have of this special woman , we know she was all about God. The women up to now have all had very different personalities. I am going to have say Hannah is my favorite. While we will not see her name again , we will see her love for God in her son.
We can see her wisdom given by the Lord in her song and life.
Eli the Priest that thought Hannah was drunk can be found in the words of Jesus. Matthew 12;48But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?

49 And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!50For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

Eli's son's where just evil and what makes it worse is they served in the House of the Lord. We read stories every year of evil serving in the House of the Lord , people have not changed. I have always been amazed how comfortable people can get just because someone serves in the House of the Lord and then surprised when some evil is revealed. The Holy Spirit helps us now and we should know of spirits like Eli's sons in the House and out.

Verse 22 Now Eli was very old; and he heard everything his sons did to all Israel, and how they lay with the women who assembled at the door of the tabernacle of meeting. 23 So he said to them, “Why do you do such things? For I hear of your evil dealings from all the people. 24 No, my sons! For it is not a good report that I hear. You make the Lord's people transgress. 25 If one man sins against another, God will judge him. But if a man sins against the Lord, who will intercede for him?” Nevertheless they did not heed the voice of their father, because the Lord desired to kill them.
27 Then a man of God came to Eli and said to him, “Thus says the Lord : ‘Did I not clearly reveal Myself to the house of your father when they were in Egypt in Pharaoh’s house?
A man of God, it is interesting no name is mentioned , the last time no name was mentioned was when the Lord sent an Angel to Sampson's mother. Men of God where hard to find at this time but God knew where they where...
34Now this shall be a sign to you that will come upon your two sons, on Hophni and Phinehas: in one day they shall die, both of them. 35 Then I will raise up for Myself a faithful priest who shall do according to what is in My heart and in My mind. I will build him a sure house, and he shall walk before My anointed forever.

Everything is about God...

Now read Hannah's song again. God just raised up a man who will do according to what is in God's heart and what is on God's mind , what wonderful words those are . Longing for what is in God's heart and in His mind, is what we should live for.
To be Hannah or Samuel is why we breathe today, but the world gets in the way and always has.

God used women that did according to His heart and His mind , He will on the pages to come and until the return of Jesus. This pattern will continue and God will use Who He chooses , He is the only seminary that needs attending. In verses 18 But Samuel ministered before the Lord, being a child, girded with a linen ephod. 19Moreover his mother made him a little coat, and brought it to him from year to year, when she came up with her husband to offer the yearly sacrifice.

A little coat , I love Hannah...
We have taken God out of the raising and teaching and made man made rules, where I am sure the little Samuels have not been allowed for a long time!!! Then we wonder why we are mess.

Please Lord, help me maintain new good habits, whilst becoming more productive, and adapting to changing circumstances, Amen Lord YAHshua Jesus

One day at a time. Give God praise and keep inviting the Holy Spirit to uplift you. Alcoholism is an ugly demon to struggle with. Hold on tight to Christ and your family, I will continue to pray for you.

I believe that Hannah was also a forerunner of other women that will appear later in the Bible. She is, in herself, a remarkable woman and if her song appears familiar it should. We will hear another very close to that song again. What a blessing to read her words on this forum where clearly there are some forces who would mock her.

Praying for you as well as others asking for prayers and those that cannot or will not.

I pray that you are guided by the Holy Spirit in your adaptations and that your will be strengthened by Christ.

Silver Patriot needs prayer for strength. Mikes stroke and the aftermath, and her being the 24/7 nurse for Mike is really wearing her down.

Dear Heavenly Father, we ask You give this family all they need to get through this, heal Mike and give Silver all the things she needs during this time also be with Tiger for the same , Bless her Lord in Jesus name amen
