1 Samuel 25 the story line for David changes. It has been some time since David took down Goliath and since that time life has been unpleasant. Our journey in this life can feel like these last chapters of David's life. How this beautiful soul Abigail ended up with such a mean soul is a mystery.
Verse 3 The name of the man was Nabal, and the name of his wife Abigail. And she was a woman of good understanding and beautiful appearance; but the man was harsh and evil in his doings. He was of the house of Caleb.
As I have said before God is amazing how we can always find one of His own in this unkind world and sometimes in the oddest places.

David always tries to do things the right way but as we all know most of the time is not reciprocated.
Nabal has refused David's request. Verse 24So she fell at his feet and said: “On me, my lord, on me let this iniquity be! And please let your maidservant speak in your ears, and hear the words of your maidservant. 25 Please, let not my lord regard this scoundrel Nabal.

Abigail was a true servant of the Lord like David. Abigail is described as of being one of good understanding. She knows to wait to tell her evil husband when he is sober , she helped David.

Verse 37 So it was, in the morning, when the wine had gone from Nabal, and his wife had told him these things, that his heart died within him, and he became like a stone. 38 Then it happened, after about ten days, that the Lord struck Nabal, and he died.

God holds life and death in His hands and all lives have purpose even the Nabals . Death has purpose as well. We have a hard time with the fact that death is life for some but it is repeated many times. A reward is coming for David and Abigail .

Verse 40 When the servants of David had come to Abigail at Carmel, they spoke to her saying, “David sent us to you, to ask you to become his wife.” 41Then she arose, bowed her face to the earth, and said, “Here is your maidservant, a servant to wash the feet of the servants of my lord.”

Most of us have lived some of the life of Abigail and David in this unkind world. God takes these two like souls and brings them together for His purpose. What a beautiful story...

Mark 10:9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

The last verse reminds us of what man puts together and what God puts together look very different.

Verse 44 But Saul had given Michal his daughter, David’s wife, to Palti the son of Laish, who was from Gallim.
I know in my own life I put together things that where not Gods' plan...

This should be every young couples lesson for marriage. I smile at what God did here. Praise Him...

Many things happened in the 60s , seems that was a time line when many things changed.
Church and state has long been on my heart, I am a child of the 60s.
One of the hardest things to do as a believer in God , is to live in this world and have little to do with it.
1 John 2:15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. 17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.

We only have to look back some 40 years ago to see where the church starting getting weaker and the man made government stronger and more relied on.
Here in 2018 we see both are just a mess, but God knew this long ago in 1 Samuel . When I was younger I longed to be President , I wanted to fix the worlds problems. I spent years studying strong women that where leaders , the first Queen Elizabeth , was one of those.

I am not who I was then, thank goodness. I now get on my knees and ask God when I have questions and search His manual for this confusing , messed up life.
We know in the beginning of the Bible God was setting up His first church , Deuteronomy 5:22These words the Lord spake unto all your assembly in the mount out of the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice: and he added no more. And he wrote them in two tables of stone, and delivered them unto me.

He spends the rest of the chapters to show us why we needed Jesus. When I have questions that are not clear because the world has said one thing and He says something else, I go to The Cross.
The life of Jesus is our example we either follow Him or we follow the world , we can not do both. I think about who Jesus called to follow with Him during those times. I think about Him and government. The Lord has allowed me to see , how messy and confusing our government and churches are . The government for many years does things that have nothing to do with God. In fact for almost 50 years we have had to leave Him , out but still try and do good.
Many decades ago the government became less about God and the people and more about personal agendas, but we only have to read the Bible to know it has always been about this.
It was last year I ask God about something that straddled this line , His answer was no. I did not listen and now am living in the after math of that and I deserve it for not listening.
I spent much of my life not asking Him anything, except when I was in trouble. I was in trouble a lot because I did not ask. There is a whole different level of discipline when you ask and He says no and you go , Numbers 22.

I am studying King David at perfect timing in my life , that is what God does. Saul is what the people wanted , they wanted government, not God. The separation of church and state did not happen in the 60s , it happened in 1 Samuel …
Jesus had nothing to do with government , He was separate . Mark 12:17 And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marveled at him.
The church was always to be stronger than man made governments. Matthew 6:No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
The churches became entangled with the government and so here we are, in a mess. We are in a time God is showing us many things. If I had ever been a leader in our government and helped thousands of people it would have been fruitless, God knew that , I did not. The poor , the widows and the fatherless was always the churches responsibility. The government did not help them in Matthew, Mark , Luke and John , Jesus did. I use to wonder why Jesus would make His disciples go like this , Mark 6:8 And commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, save a staff only; no scrip, no bread, no money in their purse.

It is clear, He was showing them and us Who takes care of what.
We have been creeping into this , John 12:42 Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue.

Saul was not the answer then and is not now . We only have to read all the chapters to follow to see why we needed Jesus.
Jesus was hunted down , like David , Jesus was killed by the Saul system. Jesus had nothing to do with government because that is what the people want , a Saul system. Jesus kept away from such and He kept His Apostles away from such. It was the Church of God that was to be separate. Until He returns we are in the Saul government or a follower of Jesus Christ. Look to God for answers , Look to God to help the poor , Look to God to help the fatherless. Church Rise Up , be separate.

Luke 9:5 And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.


The Saul system will go away when Jesus returns... God is looking for a people that want Him as their King , that is what all this about. We are to not be found in the crowd in 1 Samuel 8. Not to be found in the crowd in Matthew 27. That is what faith is about and why Jesus said this , Luke 18:8 I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?”

Miracles happen everyday, and did not end with the Apostles. We cannot limit God as to what He can do, or wants to do.I have experienced miracles several times in my life, some small ones, and some big ones, of which some I have talked about on this forum. Here is one for you, my friend, that I have never talked about before:

My middle daughter Elizabeth was born with a total cleft of the lip and palate, no roof in her mouth, and her nose split, and tilted down and to one side. She was also born with tibia torsion, which is where the lower leg bones are twisted, making walking difficult or impossible without surgical correction and braces.I put her on several prayer lists, as my Faith is weak, and other prayer warriors have a Faith that is confident and firm. Elizabeth had a lot of doctor visits up at Shriner's, and also at specialists in Chicago and here in my area. The doctors main concern was her mouth, as she couldn't eat without choking or having extreme difficulty.I was told what had to be done with her legs, and the next visit they were going to set up to address that issue.
That night after that doctor visit, I got online with a prayer group started by one of my local friends. We prayed together for quite a while about my daughter's medical needs.My daughter had another doctor appointment a week later, to set up the treatment for her legs. The next morning, Elizabeth's legs were perfectly straight. I took her back to the doctor for her appointment a week later, and he was absolutely floored. The doctor said it was a miracle! Her legs were twisted just a week before, and now they were perfectly straight. I told the doctor that Elizabeth was on many prayers lists, and we did get a miracle.
Elizabeth did have many surgeries to correct her facial deformities and to build a roof in her mouth.It was a long and difficult process that took many years.
As for her formerly deformed legs, Elizabeth was an athlete in school, a Cross Country runner, who actually lettered in Cross Country in high school.

God loves us, and answers all prayers. Sometimes we do not like the answer, but He does for us what we need. My daughter's legs were healed overnight, but the other issues remained. Nonetheless, this was indeed a miracle. I believe God gives us the miracles to let us know that He is watching over us always, and that His love and care for us is without bounds.

If any of you don't think that I am stable you are wrong - I am working daily on a world class project and working with a balance understanding that we could see at any moment a event that will change the world. We are at a cross in the road - all of us but only the few see and understand.

Many of you that will read what I am fixing to type that don't know the mystery of what I am not sure about. Many see a rapture with the coming of Jesus Christ. Many see a golden age being brought forward by Cyrus (President Trump). The 1000 years can be a fitted time after the Church age. After the time of the Gentiles

Of course like most I see Jesus coming back for the 1000 years of peace - the Golden 1000 years.

I see it both ways due to many factors but I am at peace with the next day as the next day belongs to the father.

Those of you having issues - those issues are bigger when you only see those issues. Any issue is only a thing compared to the Father. The Father is the beginning and the end of each day and the complete cycle that we are in.

Jesus is the moment - the complete understanding of what we need for our day

Blessings to all and be filled with the Love that comes from Heaven

1 Samuel 26, how can you not love David as God loved him. Saul just a mess of a human, once again wants to kill David. David knows Saul belongs to God. God causes a deep sleep on Saul and his army.
Verse 12 So David took the spear and the jug of water by Saul’s head, and they got away; and no man saw or knew it or awoke. For they were all asleep, because a deep sleep from the Lord had fallen on them.
Have you ever thought about how God controls everything even our sleep. My mind would not rest last night and I had to stop thinking and ask God to give me rest and He did.

Verse 11The Lord forbid that I should stretch out my hand against the Lord's anointed. But please, take now the spear and the jug of water that are by his head, and let us go.”
What faith David had and such a gentle man of war.


Verse 21Then Saul said, “I have sinned. Return, my son David. For I will harm you no more, because my life was precious in your eyes this day. Indeed I have played the fool and erred exceedingly.”

Matthew 18: 21Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him, up to seven times?”
22 Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.

This story has Jesus all through it , I thank the Lord God our Father for Jesus Christ our Savior for being the Word in the beginning...

Thanks Ice for your words. I had a dream and know I ask for a hedge around my sleep and dreams.

I dreamed I was in the middle of a terrible storm , which can be like physical weather or trials of life. In the dream was a violent weather.

In this dream I was sucked up half way to Heaven and remember saying with joy , really Lord. Then I was placed softly back down in the storm.

I have thought about this for days and think I will either see near death and not die , or just to remember Who is with us even in the worse storm...


God is truly amazing and He has been speaking to the whole world if they can remember how to listen...


No matter what I or any of you are facing please face it with Him just like King David did...

My Aunt was just diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. As many prayers as possible would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Heavenly Father, we lift this up to You and ask the enemy have no power, if Your will full healing of body , soul and Spirit , we ask for comfort for the loved ones in Jesus name amen

My daughter Mary K has to go tomorrow to drop off her keys and the title to her car at the body shop. Then the insurance, after confirmation she dropped them off, will mail her a check.
I know she will break down when we go there. She is special needs and just learned how to drive 1 1/2 years ago at the age of 35. This was her first car, and she was so proud of herself for finally learning to drive, and getting this car in the first place.Getting this car and learning how to drive made so much difference in her life, and made her partially independent, and taught her responsibility.This was her 2nd winter driving, and she was a good driver, but black ice doesn't care.
Tomorrow is going to be rough for her, and me, as I know I will start bawling too. I hate to see my children hurt, not just physically, but emotionally.:(
