i just tried to make a thread for this little boy named Miles..
He is on life support and they are praying for a miracle. I don't know him..my daughter met him a few months ago please pray for him...

Fight Like Miles please pray for this little boy
I don't know this child, my daughter met him and his family a few months back. He just got a transplant and seemed on the mend fighting stage 4 neuroblastoma

From their page:
I apologize, I didn’t realize this page wasn’t being updated through Instagram anymore. Miles was just finishing up his transplant when he started having trouble breathing & symptoms of a fungal infection and our team wanted a bronchoscopy. They attempted to remove his breathing tube after the bronch but he desaturated quickly, so they had to re-intubate him. His results came back- he had RSV. A cold. He got to the max settings on the ventilator and was still desaturating so they tried him on the oscillator, but his body was just working too hard, they were worried that we would be facing irreversible lung damage if he was on it for too long, so we were told we had a decision- we could place him on ECMO, or we could let him go. We chose ECMO. “A last ditch chance.”
Our hope is ECMO (which is life support- a machine that basically acts as his lungs) will give him a chance to rest. RSV doesn’t have an effective treatment, you just have to let it run its course. Miles is on ECMO so his lungs can rest and heal. We are absolutely terrified. We are constantly reminded that this might not work. That complications are common and serious. That even if he makes it, we are in for a very long rollercoaster of really bad days and okay days. We are lucky to be in a hospital that has ECMO as an option. We are lucky that Miles was even eligible, his oncology team had to make a decision on whether or not they thought he could beat cancer after all of this and they said yes. The PICU doctor said Miles was strong, and he was a fighter, and they believed in him.
We are broken and suffering and missing our sweet little boy- but we are clinging to hope. They wouldn’t give us the option of ECMO if they didn’t believe he had a chance. We’re begging for a miracle. He’s almost beat cancer. He just got through the worst of treatment- we can’t let a cold steal him from us.

I never met him or the family but have been following him...calling on the prayer warriors here on GLP to please pray for this precious little boy.

They have an Instagram too
Life finds a way.
