1 Samuel 7 part two.12 “When your days are fulfilled and you rest with your fathers, I will set up your seed after you, who will come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom. 13 He shall build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. 14 I will be his Father, and he shall be My son. If he commits iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men and with the blows of the sons of men. 15 But My mercy shall not depart from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I removed from before you. 16 And your house and your kingdom shall be established forever before you. Your throne shall be established forever.”17 According to all these words and according to all this vision, so Nathan spoke to David.


God through Nathan has told David what will happen in the future. I love the words “you rest with your fathers.” We know before Jesus they rested and then in Matthew 27 :51Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split, 52and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; 53and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.

God does what He wants , with who He wants , when He wants. We know some did not even die like Elijah. Then like the thief with Jesus that day , went to Heaven after he died.


Verse 17 of this chapter , According to all these words and according to all this vision, so Nathan spoke to David.
Nathan makes me once again reflect on how and who God spoke to and through. In the beginning with Adam and Eve He spoke directly to them. After the Garden He spoke to Noah and Moses and a few others. Then things changed and only a few chosen Prophets . Then Jesus came and He became our Nathan, only Perfect access to God. God's ways and plans are perfect , He left us instructions and our future...He loved David and He loves us.

Then David takes time to thank God for all He has done.

22 Wherefore thou art great, O Lord God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
23 And what one nation in the earth is like thy people, even like Israel, whom God went to redeem for a people to himself, and to make him a name, and to do for you great things and terrible, for thy land, before thy people, which thou redeemedst to thee from Egypt, from the nations and their gods?

Jesus came to make any that follow ”thy people, “ that One Nation.

We see the plans for King Solomon, that we will read in the chapters ahead. God knows the past , present and the future...


Verses 18-29 are very beautiful take time to read them today.

When God says 'rest with your fathers , “ we see grace , mercy and forgiveness , we see the Cross, because we know in the pages ahead , the sins of David... Jesus is in every Chapter.John 5:46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.

Dear Heavenly Father , we ask You heal Haun and family from the flu and expose false teachers in a way that glorifies Your name , in Jesus name amen

Popular televangelist: 'We don't have a flu season'




This is a terrible teaching ....


When I saw a popular TV Evangelist tell people not to get the flu shot and there is no such thing as flu season , I paused. If we believe in Jesus Christ then we know not matter what happens our lives, our sickness and our deaths are for the purpose of God. Look what happened to Jesus that day of the Cross.

To tell people if you have Jesus you will not get sick is a scary place to go. Paul always had a pain in his side. Timothy and other got ill.
2 Timothy:4 20 Erastus stayed in Corinth, but Trophimus I have left in Miletus sick.
Philippians 2:25 Yet I considered it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, fellow worker, and fellow soldier, but your messenger and the one who ministered to my need; 26 since he was longing for you all, and was distressed because you had heard that he was sick. 27 For indeed he was sick almost unto death; but God had mercy on him, and not only on him but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow.

The Bible is a whole story and to pull a verse or two to say if you love Jesus you will not get the flu is not anything I would teach.

If followers never got sick then we would not need James 5:14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up.

If I get the flu and die please know God had purpose in that, the same goes if I get the flu and He heals me.
Until Jesus returns the world will have sickness and death. I just heard this today and it fits perfectly.

1Corintians 15:42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. 43 It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. 44 It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 45 And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.

If a sickness ends up saving my soul, like it did my brother that is all that matters. Until we are raised we are subject to the the things in this world and will not be made perfect until He calls our name or returns.
So do not feel bad if you love Jesus and get sick, that was a terrible thing to tell people.

God is hearing our prayers ! Financially we are in a deep pit, but we have had little baby steps to lift us a little. My youngest is going to pay the entire bill for the dryer to get fixed.She is putting the repair cost on her credit card.I had enough to get the dryer fixed, but then I would not have enough to get gas and groceries.
My 85 year old friend, who runs the food pantry out of her church, that I give a ride to twice a week to go there, gave me a gas card with $35 on it !
My oldest was told the check for her totaled Saturn was issued today, so it should come in the mail in a couple of days.
So, baby steps of Faith and Hope. I trust in God completely, but I have to have more patience !

I agree, I would never teach that either.

No matter what happens to us in this very temporary life, we know that all things work together for the glory of God.....one way or another.

5 family and friends on my FB have the flu today

I make my own Elderberry syrup each autumn and Take it through the winter. i forgot to take it this winter (as it was at the back of the cupboard) and got flu! Then I remembered it. I am sure it helped.

I think you can buy elderberry tablets?

God gave us all we needed added with prayer

2 Samuel 8 and 9. We see the war side of David in chapter 8 and the loving side in 9.
In this battle field called earth we have to be as David and wear Ephesians 6 and the love of Jesus Christ, it is not easy and we could not do it all with God.

Chapter 8 :5 And when the Syrians of Damascus came to succour Hadadezer king of Zobah, David slew of the Syrians two and twenty thousand men.

Thinking about what is happening over there this very minute , reminds us until Jesus returns the war will only intensify.

Chapter 9:1And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may shew him kindness for Jonathan's sake? 3 And the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may shew the kindness of God unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, Jonathan hath yet a son, which is lame on his feet.

We are snowed in over here. I went to the store yesterday morning with my oldest, so we are stocked and then some. A lot of the stores here ran out of bread and milk yesterday afternoon. We already have 10 inches of snow on top of what was already on the ground, and more coming. Government offices, churches, community centers, schools, and businesses are shut down.
I have nowhere to go until Sunday, so no worries !!! :)
