Here is Mary K's car at the dealership.

The passenger compartment was NOT compromised, but the front of the radio, the cup holders, the rear view mirror and some other things inside broke loose on impact.The rear view mirror landed in the passenger side of the front seat. Good thing no one was riding with her, as the rear view mirror would have beamed them but good ! Most of Mary K's injuries, besides the whiplash, were caused by the air bag. I am glad she had her contacts in instead of wearing her glasses, as the glasses would have definitely broke. The doctor told us that it is very common for people to get a broken nose from the airbag, as they come out with great force. Mary K needs some time and encouragement it will not be easy next time use the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) data to pick the safest vehicle. All modern vehicles will fold into an accordion configuration to protect occupants in the passenger compartment however, modern vehicles are stronger and one needs to choose the best vehicle possible. The page is set to the vehicle I purchased, but is easily changed to any vehicle you wish to research. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) 2015 Nissan Pathfinder [ link to www.iihs.org] That is a nice vehicle !!!
