My dear friend Sharon has recuperated from her bout with the flu, and is thankful for the prayers she received when hospitalized, now requesting prayers for her dear brother Dean who is suffering congestive heart failure and blind due to wet and dry macular degenerative disease and other health issues to be placed on the prayer list.

Dear Heavenly Father , we thank You for healing Sharon, we ask You be with Dean and You will do not let the enemy have power in this and if Your will heal his body, soul and Spirit but give peace to the family in Jesus name amen

2 Kings 3
We are in the time of Kings and bad rulers .
11 But Jehoshaphat said, “Is there no prophet of the Lord here, that we may inquire of the Lord by him?” So one of the servants of the king of Israel answered and said, “Elisha the son of Shaphat is here, who poured water on the hands of Elijah.”
14 And Elisha said, “As the Lord of hosts lives, before whom I stand, surely were it not that I regard the presence of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, I would not look at you, nor see you. 15 But now bring me a musician.”
Then it happened, when the musician played, that the hand of the Lord came upon him. 16 And he said, “Thus says the Lord : ‘Make this valley full of ditches.’ 17 For thus says the Lord : ‘You shall not see wind, nor shall you see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, so that you, your cattle, and your animals may drink.’ 18 And this is a simple matter in the sight of the Lord ; He will also deliver the Moabites into your hand.
I love how when the musician played the hand of Lord came. Have you ever been listening to Spirit filled music and a feeling come over you and chills up and down your body. God loves music we see that in David and all through the Bible, play and sing to Him...

“Simple matter for the Lord, “ to stop the wind and rain but fill ditches. God is amazing.


22 Then they rose up early in the morning, and the sun was shining on the water; and the Moabites saw the water on the other side as red as blood. 23 And they said, “This is blood; the kings have surely struck swords and have killed one another; now therefore, Moab, to the spoil!”


God is in control of everything even what we see for His purpose.

1 John 5:8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

1 Kings 4
Elisha ask for a double portion and he put it to work. All that Elijah had done is seen in this one chapter.

1 Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the Lord: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen.

Elisha blessed the oil to make enough to pay the debt.

8And it fell on a day, that Elisha passed to Shunem, where was a great woman; and she constrained him to eat bread. And so it was, that as oft as he passed by, he turned in thither to eat bread.

Unlike Elijah , Elisha does not have to hide, this great woman make Elisha his own room and will be bless for her it.

16 And he said, About this season, according to the time of life, thou shalt embrace a son. And she said, Nay, my lord, thou man of God, do not lie unto thine handmaid. 17 And the woman conceived, and bare a son at that season that Elisha had said unto her, according to the time of life.
19 And he said unto his father, My head, my head. And he said to a lad, Carry him to his mother. 20 And when he had taken him, and brought him to his mother, he sat on her knees till noon, and then died.
Without doubt this boy had an aneurysm , that is what my brother said before his , my head , my head...

27 And when she came to the man of God to the hill, she caught him by the feet: but Gehazi came near to thrust her away. And the man of God said, Let her alone; for her soul is vexed within her: and the Lord hath hid it from me, and hath not told me. 28Then she said, Did I desire a son of my lord? did I not say, Do not deceive me?
We are seeing a mirror of the miracles God did through Elijah. Just because Elisha is a prophet does not mean he knows everything, the Lord hid it, he says.

31 And Gehazi passed on before them, and laid the staff upon the face of the child; but there was neither voice, nor hearing. Wherefore he went again to meet him, and told him, saying, The child is not awaked. 32 And when Elisha was come into the house, behold, the child was dead, and laid upon his bed. 33 He went in therefore, and shut the door upon them twain, and prayed unto the Lord . 34 And he went up, and lay upon the child, and put his mouth upon his mouth, and his eyes upon his eyes, and his hands upon his hands: and stretched himself upon the child; and the flesh of the child waxed warm. 35 Then he returned, and walked in the house to and fro; and went up, and stretched himself upon him: and the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes.
This had several steps to be done before the child came back to life. The rest of the chapter Elisha heals bad food and feeds many with a few loaves of bread. Just wow , that is a busy chapter. Can not wait to read the chapters ahead.

Most of the time we just do not know Who we say we love...
