What a fitting chapter for our times, read the whole chapter of Isaiah 64 . Long ago in Samuel they wanted earthly Kings. We are under that system until Jesus returns. Until then we call on , Isaiah 64 :8 But now, O Lord , thou art our Father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand. 9 Be not wroth very sore, O Lord , neither remember iniquity for ever: behold, see, we beseech thee, we are all thy people.
We are in need of rescue...
Quoting: Goofy for God We were rescued 2000 years ago!   We will be rescued when He returns  If you die before Jesus returns...will you not still be rescued? Accepting Jesus as Savior gives access to the Father. The Father rescues ALL who repent and Believe.
