2 Kings 19

The first time we see Isaiah the Prophet . Isaiah brings King Hezekiah a word from the Lord. This is an amazing chapter.
Verse 6And Isaiah said unto them, Thus shall ye say to your master, Thus saith the Lord , Be not afraid of the words which thou hast heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me. 7Behold, I will send a blast upon him, and he shall hear a rumour, and shall return to his own land; and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land.


We are clueless what happens in the Spirit world of God but this chapter will show us much. Do you ever think about rumors being used for the Glory of God or to remember He knows things long before they are even whispered?


Matthew 6:13And lead us not into temptation,but deliver us from the evil one.

Verse14And Hezekiah received the letter of the hand of the messengers, and read it: and Hezekiah went up into the house of the Lord , and spread it before the Lord . 15And Hezekiah prayed before the Lord , and said, O Lord God of Israel, which dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth.

One of the most important things we overlook sometimes is how people prayed to God in Scriptures and God answered. Read all this prayer , mark it for those days you face a burden to heavy to face...
Verse 20 Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, That which thou hast prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria I have heard. 21 This is the word that the Lord hath spoken concerning him; The virgin the daughter of Zion hath despised thee, and laughed thee to scorn; the daughter of Jerusalem hath shaken her head at thee.
Read all of this answer from God it is powerful.

Verse35 And it came to pass on a certain night that the angel of the Lord went out, and killed in the camp of the Assyrians one hundred and eighty-five thousand; and when people arose early in the morning, there were the corpses—all dead.


We forget what war we are in , Who fights for us and wins. The term “the Angel of the Lord,” is in Scriptures almost 300 times.
We all need to mark this chapter and when we are in an earthly battle , let God and His army win for us.

There is a part of 2 Kings 19 that will not leave my thoughts today, verse 35 …
35 And it came to pass on a certain night that the angel of the Lord went out, and killed in the camp of the Assyrians one hundred and eighty-five thousand; and when people arose early in the morning, there were the corpse all dead.

Do we ever think about all the things we try and do on our own and yet one Angel of the Lord takes out 185, 000 in one night??? We do not have the details of how , it does not matter. Their only enemy in that story was satan, that is our only enemy. Any time we go outside God for anything on His planet it is will fail . King Hezekiah did not have to do anything but pray , look at that prayer again and pray as He did in the face the enemy today.

14 And Hezekiah received the letter of the hand of the messengers, and read it: and Hezekiah went up into the house of the Lord , and spread it before the Lord . 15 And Hezekiah prayed before the Lord , and said, O Lord God of Israel, which dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth. 16 Lord , bow down thine ear, and hear: open, Lord , thine eyes, and see: and hear the words of Sennacherib, which hath sent him to reproach the living God. 17 Of a truth, Lord , the kings of Assyria have destroyed the nations and their lands, 18 And have cast their gods into the fire: for they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone: therefore they have destroyed them. 19 Now therefore, O Lord our God, I beseech thee, save thou us out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the Lord God, even thou only.

Not sure why but this prayer is important today...

2 Kings 20 is full of Who God is...

Verse 1 In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord , Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.

I love the story of Hezekiah, we know in chapter 18 he removed the high places and did what was right in the sight of the Lord.

Verse 2 Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto the Lord , saying, 3 I beseech thee, O Lord , remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.
Hezekiah is always reminding the Lord he did what was right and calls on it in his time of need.
Verse 4And it came to pass, afore Isaiah was gone out into the middle court, that the word of the Lord came to him, saying, 5 Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the Lord , the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the Lord . 6 And I will add unto thy days fifteen years; and I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake. 7 And Isaiah said, Take a lump of figs. And they took and laid it on the boil, and he recovered.

I have come to understand God gave us all we ever needed for our bodies on earth , added with faith and prayer .
He always hears Hezekiah but speaks through Isaiah. I always love to pause at Who God chooses to speak through and Jesus did the same thing with His Apostles. If we look at the list of Spiritual gifts we see the first two are always Apostles and Prophets.

These verses shows us many things but number one is ,Who hold life in His hands and He can do whatever He wants.
I do not understand Hezekiah asking for a sign but God gives it.

Verse 8 And Hezekiah said unto Isaiah, What shall be the sign that the Lord will heal me, and that I shall go up into the house of the Lord the third day? 9 And Isaiah said, This sign shalt thou have of the Lord , that the Lord will do the thing that he hath spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten degrees, or go back ten degrees? 10 And Hezekiah answered, It is a light thing for the shadow to go down ten degrees: nay, but let the shadow return backward ten degrees. 11 And Isaiah the prophet cried unto the Lord and he brought the shadow ten degrees backward, by which it had gone down in the dial of Ahaz.
Isaiah cried to the Lord and makes the shadow go backwards . I have seen the Lord do some amazing things with time , so I love this passage.
Hezekiah shows us we can love God very much and still fail on a grand scale. Hezekiah allows the enemy in and shows them all he has.
Verse 17Behold, the days come, that all that is in thine house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store unto this day, shall be carried into Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith the Lord . 19Then said Hezekiah unto Isaiah, Good is the word of the Lord which thou hast spoken. And he said, Is it not good, if peace and truth be in my days?
What a unique character this Hezekiah was and one to remember how he prayed to God and God listened...

Thread: Dreamed of a Lion...Haggai 1:6

Hi All,
I saw the surgeon at Mt. Sinai yesterday and he is very reassuring that my throat and lymph node are not a threat.He also looked with a scope and saw only some slight inflammation that is NOT dangerous. He will work in tandem with my local oncologist with follow ups.
It seems that removing the one lymph node will add more risk....so he was in agreement that it was a miracle how this all has played out and that I am in good health.

Praise Jesus !

2 Kings 21

If you want to understand what God calls an abomination, this is the chapter. Hezekiah has died and his son now is king at 12 years old , interesting .

Verse 10 And the Lord spake by his servants the prophets, saying, 11 Because Manasseh king of Judah hath done these abominations, and hath done wickedly above all that the Amorites did, which were before him, and hath made Judah also to sin with his idols: 12 Therefore thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Behold, I am bringing such evil upon Jerusalem and Judah, that whosoever heareth of it, both his ears shall tingle. 13 And I will stretch over Jerusalem the line of Samaria, and the plummet of the house of Ahab: and I will wipe Jerusalem as a man wipeth a dish, wiping it, and turning it upside down. 14 And I will forsake the remnant of mine inheritance, and deliver them into the hand of their enemies; and they shall become a prey and a spoil to all their enemies.

God has had it and we can see why He sent His only Son to give us , 1 Corinthians 12:13
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be J... or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

He will say enough , one more time and as in Romans 14:11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

To do any of what Manasseh did is an abomination to the Lord , we have to know what He hates and what He loves. The world of Manasseh is all around us unlike anytime in my life time. Long ago they wanted king Saul and we do as well.
There is Only One True King to follow and He started about His Father's business at 12 years old as well...

Revelation 22:20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
