Praying for you Tiger....I have been going through a similar church issue with my husband for about the whole 40 forty years we’ve been married as well.
Do the work of the Lord...no matter what...and it will be well with you.

Eventually....it may take a little time....but it will pass.

Thread: For Generations We Have Prayed For The Wrong Kind Of Peace

Prayers said for all.

1Chronicles 5 :1 Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, for he was the firstborn; but forasmuch as he defiled his father's bed, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright.


We read these stories and see we are in the times of Reuben and no different than the people of long ago. When we do anything against God's plan we will lose, if not today ,later . We are in times young children, to young to make decisions are giving away their birthright and the world says this is a right and fair thing to do.
We are to live in this world but not be part of it,was not easy then or now...
Our lives are not our own to do what we fell is fair , good and right outside of God. A huge price was paid for us to live and Hebrews tells us to throw away what He offers, comes at a greater cost than what Reuben faced.

Hebrews 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?


25And they transgressed against the God of their fathers, and went a whoring after the gods of the people of the land, whom God destroyed before them. 26 And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgathpilneser king of Assyria, and he carried them away, even the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh, and brought them unto Halah, and Habor, and Hara, and to the river Gozan, unto this day.

Earth is God's and we have choice to follow in Ruben's footsteps or follow in the steps of his brother Joseph...
We are given example after example of the people that wanted something outside God's plan. We have the end of this story and what waits in the next...

How does your birthright look today , The Cross allowed us to get it back while we live , if we gave it away in the past ...

If you can't beat them - join them.
and I mean ask them to join you both in going to church. Yes, I know that seems silly, but it reminds me of a situation from my youth.

My first job was in a small post office. We had a woman come in who used to throw her money at us under the grille and demand a postage stamp. I was shocked the first time, but the other two girls said that they always just throw the stamp back at her, so I did the same. When I told my mother, she told me to try and be nice to her, so ever afterwards I used to smile and try and engage her in conversation. I worked there for 18 months and nothing changed. I moved to another post office for 8 months and then joined the Main post office. Now being a trainee Civil Service we were given a mentor for a month. One day the miserable woman came in, smiled and said hello to me and wanted a stamp. The mentor looked at me astonished. He told me he had been serving that woman for many years and she had always been rude.

NEVER GIVE UP. Persistence may pay off in the end.

Your point is well taken and , although I have attempted it many times, I will try again when I give my testimony of healing at my Church.

That will be another prayer request in the near future...
