1 Chronicles 26 -29

We look at these 4 chapters and see jobs , instructions and great planning. We look at all they did , saved and built to understand why Jesus said live day to day. The only building instructions Jesus gave us was how to build the Body and Jesus Christ is the corner stone.

It was said to me yesterday you will never save souls talking about hell or the fear of God. There is a growing belief that the reason Jesus went to the Cross is for all to go to Heaven. They believe Jesus did away with hell.

I have thought about this since. We are told not to argue and stay away from such false doctrine. The Cross has all the answers. My question to any that follow this line of thinking is, why did only one thief go with Jesus that day to Heaven ?
We look at these chapters today and see all the jobs and people and the greatest job we have today is found in 1 Chronicles 26 :1Concerning the divisions of the gatekeepers. There is One Gate we long to walk through .
I corrected this person to explain we do not save souls, God does. Our job is found in the last instructions from Jesus to Peter.
John 21:17
He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
We are to feed God's people the whole Bible , He does the rest.

We are called to be the gatekeepers of the Living Word of God...

1 Chronicles 26:20Of the Levites, Ahijah was over the treasuries of the house of God and over the treasuries of the dedicated things.

We are called to store up treasure in Heaven not on earth.

1 Chronicles27:1 And the children of Israel, according to their number, the heads of fathers’ houses, the captains of thousands and hundreds and their officers, served the king in every matter of the military divisions.

We are to be in God's army wearing Ephesians 6.

1 Chronicles 29:11 Thine, O Lord is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all. 12 Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all. 13 Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name. 14 But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee. 15 For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding.
16 O Lord our God, all this store that we have prepared to build thee an house for thine holy name cometh of thine hand, and is all thine own. 17 I know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee.
18 O Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this for ever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of thy people, and prepare their heart unto thee: 19 And give unto Solomon my son a perfect heart, to keep thy commandments, thy testimonies, and thy statutes, and to do all these things, and to build the palace, for the which I have made provision.

We know King David or Solomon could not keep the commandments and we can not either that is why Jesus had to suffer and die for us to live... we are to strive to be more like Jesus everyday,that is what the Cross did for us. That is what is meant to love God with all our hearts. Read David's praises they are full of wisdom...”God tries the heart to create uprightness ...” True then and now...

2 Chronicles 1

7 In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee. 10 Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great? 11 And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king: 12 Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.

Luke 11:9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
When we look at Solomon and then the birth and life of Jesus, we see why we do not want the things of this world.
Solomon had it all ,unlike any before , yet he wanted more. God knew this and that is why none after him would God give as had been given to Solomon.

John 4:14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.


I personally have had several millionaires in my circle of life and their battles where and are constant. Each one of them had people all around trying to take what they had. They where victims of theft or lawsuits. We see all the Mega Church Pastors in trouble right now and losing all they had. Many of those started off in a manger and became Solomon. Solomon is our example of what not to be.

Jesus born in a manger and had nothing to do with riches of this world , this is our example of Who to follow...If we have what we need for today then life is good.

Verse 12 is very important God says “ neither shall there any after thee have the like.” Hardest thing as a human is to know what is of God and what satan has offered.

Job 38:1Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind...

The Lord has been very clear with my call in Job 38 .satan has used many people and distractions to try and take me away from it, that is what he does. I will have to answer for my disobedience and so will the dis- tractors.

That whole chapter in Job explains Who God is with His creations and how we can be Job and forget. That one verse says it all “out of the whirlwind.” Last night and this morning He placed an urgency on my walk to stay on His path.
God never spoke to a human like we speak to each other. In our human form then and now , we would die if we saw the face of God. Our culture has made Him as Job , our equal...

Exodus 33:20 And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.

Many believe Jesus did away with this God in Exodus.
Mark 14:36 And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.

Jesus explains He came to do the will of His Father , many times...Whirlwinds, earthquakes and floods did not leave when Jesus ascended. In fact Jesus tells us they will increase as a reminder.
God showed Job Who controls that whirlwind and Jesus showed the Apostles Who controls whirlwinds …
Luke 8:25 And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.

Where is our faith when nature does as the Lord commands???It listens better than we do, it only does the will of the Father...

Do you have a call that is being hindered or are you hindering someones call?

If God tells me to do something and I disobey, it never just affected me... He has reasons He gives calls...Do not be Jonah, look how many repented in the end ... That is what all this life is about...Do not listen to satan and God's calls never looks like the worlds...

2 Chronicles 2-7

The book of the Chronicles is a recap with different details of the Books before them. Chapter 2 -5 are the details of Solomon building a House for the Lord.
It is sad to know all the time and hard work put in something that would be destroyed , that is why Jesus came.

Peter still not understanding in Matthew 17 :4Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.

Jesus did not give instructions to build anything , but to feed His sheep.

The Spirit this morning had me turn the page and skip ahead to Chapter 6 and 7. After I read I cried.
2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Most of us know this verse , what we have forgot is what is said starting in chapter 6 of the reasons why we do this.
After Solomon finishes the Lords House , The Lord comes in...2 Chronicles 5:14 So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God.

The cloud ,what a sight that must have been. Do we remember this when we see clouds ?

Solomon list all the reasons to come to this House of Prayer and what to pray for and how. This is a short list.

2 Chronicles 6
22“If anyone sins against his neighbor.
24“Or if Your people Israel are defeated before an enemy because they have sinned against You.
26“When the heavens are shut up and there is no rain because they have sinned against You .
28“When there is famine in the land, pestilence or blight or mildew, locusts or grasshoppers; when their enemies besiege them in the land of their cities; whatever plague or whatever sickness there is.
32“Moreover, concerning a foreigner, who is not of Your people Israel, but has come from a far country for the sake of Your great name and Your mighty hand and Your outstretched arm, when they come and pray in this temple.
34“When Your people go out to battle against their enemies.
36“When they sin against You (for there is no one who does not sin), and You become angry with them and deliver them to the enemy, and they take them captive to a land far or near hen Your people go out to battle against their enemies.

Please read all of chapter 6 it is amazing.

2 Chronicles 7:When Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the Lord filled the temple.

Fire came down , when we have fires do we think of this?

Then God speaks again to Solomon and says these words.

12 Then the Lord appeared to Solomon by night, and said to him: “I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice. 13 When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, 14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

The simple question is this. Did droughts , fires , pestilence and sin go away ? Jesus tells us they will increase in the last days.

What an amazing Book we have , but please read every word and pray before you read to receive His wisdom and knowledge , do not even go to commentaries first. We have made a hash of things but they did then as well. Have these 2 chapters on your hearts today. God loves that prayer and dedication and we should love what He loves...
